This snake works!
These snakes are great! They really clean out the drain and the amount of hair that it collects is unreal! These are made of plastic so you probably will get a couple of uses with each snake. This is a great alternative to harsh chemicals!

It doesn't help that my housemates girlfriend sheds hair like a dog in the bathtub and even the sink
Living in a Row Home in S.Philly I have my fair share of drain problems. It doesn't help that my housemates girlfriend sheds hair like a dog in the bathtub and even the sink.I bought these DrainHooks curious to know if they would help. Boy did they ever! All you do is grab the handle end with the smiley face and drop the other end down the drain and pull it back out. First pull cleared the drain, 10th pull finished the job to my total satisfaction. I'm very pleased w/ what turned out to be such a very straightforward solution. Drain hair be gone from both sink and tub!!!Why hasn't anyone come up w/ this idea before? In the past I would try either a liquid drain solution or use a plunger. If they didn't work I just gave up and called maintenance to fix the problem. I don't think they'll be getting called here as much in the future.Although made from a light plastic they are surprisingly durable and can be re-used multiple times so buying a set of eight has turned out to be very cost effective, can’t see me needing to re-order for a long time.I've tried everything to clear a drain. The liquid solutions rarely work to satisfaction if at all. Plungers sometimes work but it’s a lot of effort and can get messy and I use industrial plungers. You want a quick, cheap, and easy fix…Get some DrainHooks for $16.86

Not as good as Zip-It
I got these as a cheap alternative to the ZipIt drain cleaner. ZipIt works so, so much better, and is much sturdier. These are very flimsy. You get what you pay for, I guess. Thankfully, I had an old ZipIt lying around in my basement I could use to clear the drain these things couldn't handle. They are fragile and will break apart. Be careful.

So much better than Draino for clearing a slow-running drain
Yep - these do the trick. Sure better to have under the sink rather than toxic substances like Drano. Eight should last for a couple years, but I definitely will buy again

I wish this had instructions on how this works. ...
I wish this had instructions on how this works. I put it in my tub drain and went to pull it out and it broke in half.

Unclogged my sink in under 15 minutes!!
Whoever invented this product is a genius. My bathroom sink has been slightly clogged for the last few weeks. I knew its because of my long thick hair accumulating down there. Using this drain hook it took me under 15 mins to unclog the drain, pulled out a bunch of nasty hair and black gunk. The process is gross but its better than wasting money hiring a pro later on. The hook is larger than I thought. About 1 feet in length and .5 inches in width. It probably wont work on short pipes with an angle. After you finish just rinse the hook and save it for next time or throw it away.

Didn't work well
These were way too rigid to go through my shower drain down to the clog. They arrived lose - they had escaped their bag during shipping, I suppose. They were not even tied together. At least now I have a lifetime supply. I'll try then again the next time I have a slow drain. Maybe they will perform better with a sink drain instead.

I like to use these
These are the bomb. You can pay the same price for one of these stinkers at the store. No thanks. These work just the same for a fraction of the price.I live to generate hair and leave it places, apparently. If it isn't the shower drain, it's the sinks. While I do need to get a drain cover for the shower, I can't really avoid that problem with the sinks. So, instead of using chemicals, I like to use these. They work wonderfully. :)
