I have this same item, which I bought at a local store. I have several recipes that call for diced potatoes, so thought this would be great, and cut prep time dramatically. Well, it might do that if I could hit it with a sledge hammer! It is impossible to just press down & cut through potatoes, and when it does cut a little way through, the potatoes get stuck! It might work okay for softer items - like hard-boiled eggs - but was advertised as a "french fry cutter", and I assumed that everyone used potatoes for those!
