Review: Good buy! - Bought this for my papa as a gift and he loves it! It has been used on many crabbing trips and has no sign of giving up on him!
Review: Rinse after use! - Added some weight to the entrance flaps to keep them closed with fast currents. This is our 2nd trap, and we have used it 2-3 times a year. We live in Idaho and just cannot make the trip as often as I would like. Make sure you rinse the trap after use in salt water and they will last. Our first one just had its first weld break from rust and we've had it about 5 years. We still use it and it catches crab!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: This trap is illegal in Florida?????**
A: Best to check local DNR laws. As I remember it, this trap was for Dungeness crabs which are very large. Blue Claws would climb right out the openings...

**Q: What is the difference between the ftc and ftcdlx traps?**
A: I have the FTC Deluxe model and have used it a few times with great success. Never seen an FTC version, my guess is it's an older model, maybe has less coating on the wire or smaller gauge wire for the trap. Openings seem to be the same. DLX version has what appears to be glow in the dark plastic on the hinges of the doors. Sorry I can't be of more help.

**Q: What diameter are the cull rings?**
A: About 6 inches

**Q: Could I catch sea lobster with this?**
A: In California, this type of trap is illegal. You must use a hoop-style net. Can't speak for other states. Not really what it is designed for.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ well built

A good trap BUT try to avoid placing it on concrete as that will scuff the finish which will lead to rusting.
