I own both the AT 120 old version and the new AT120 version and basically the new version eliminates the problems with the old version but does loose some of the quality build found in the old version. The new version is lighter does not have the arm height adjustment and comes with a better AT cartridge fitted has phono jack's and a earth connection, the power supply is via a plug in adapter and the mains hum which the first version had has gone. I Recommend changing the cartridge for a better rounded sound I went for the Goldring E2 but any of the E series is a good choice there are many others available but go up in price as the supplied cartridge is bottom of the AT range. The photos show the two versions and the difference in tone arms. As to the first version it is still a great turntable but the niggles have been ironed out. Happy listening.
