what do I like about these booksFor starters in book 1 you get an intro to wicca origins and history. Get to know what magical books and items are needed. Symbols and signs.Gives you step by step instructions to make rituals and spells.In book 2 we learn about Wicca Witches - what is wicca ,what are its benefits and what are wiccans beliefs. Aswell about dreams,mediation,grimoires and many other things.In book 3 We learn about Wiccan Altar. Its origins, how to create an altar, what is needed and what elements and techniques are needed.Also how to create your own book of shadows.In book 4 Wiccan Spells need I say more you get to learn how make spells with a more in depth instructions. Its a very interesting book to me...So will I recommend to other yes I will .

When it comes to educational & instructional tomes, the quality of writing is very important. Lisa Spell is obviously very knowledgeable on the subjects of Wicca & witchcraft, and this is a nice all-around primer for the newcomer, but sometimes her verbiage leaves much to be desired. There's a sentence fairly early on in which she writes "...but rather ought to rather...", and I found myself distracted from the point she was trying to make, and wishing she'd had someone fully proof her text before publishing. There are many paragraphs throughout in which Spell tries to make her prose sound more scholarly and her word choice more diverse, but the meaning of what she's trying to say is lost in the linguistic gymnastics. Some will read this review and think I'm nitpicking, but it's extremely important for a book intended to light the way for the uninformed or uninitiated to be as clear and concise in its presentation as possible. An excellent collection of books, packed with a lot of valuable information, which could have been exponentially better had it been more thoroughly proofed and edited.

Not really my cup of tea, but it was an interesting read and very well written. The pictures were a nice addition.

Author has put in the study but I don't believe she practices.

These books give great insight into the history of Wicca and the introduction to the tools one might need if they want to practice. Very interesting read for someone who's only knowledge comes from movies.

Very informative books if you want to learn about Wicca then these are the books for you. Your not going to learn how to call down the heavens on someone who makes you mad but you will learn about the Goddess and some great relaxation techniques.

This books brakes down all the aspects of the religion and show you simple but powerful ways to achieve the goals you set for yourself. Very informative
