Mens Wallet Minimalist Bifold Horween Chromexcel Leather By Rugged Material

My previous wallet had a pocket for change, a see-through ID slot and 2 pockets for cash -- a standard bi-fold wallet. Although functional, it was very bulky to carry. I was unsure of a minimalist wallet, but looking at the reviews here, I thought I'll give it a try. I think Belroy wallets are too expensive, and not very good reviews.This is a very interesting wallet. The wallet is very tough and the leather just smells great. It is well built with slots for cards and a single cash slot. Given my previous wallet, I initially thought that the wallet was not going to be sufficient to carry all the stuff. But the more I analyzed my usage, I realized that I used my ID, 2 of credit cards, 1 debit card everyday. Rest of the stuff like Sams Club, insurance cards were used maybe once a year. So, the 4 slots for the cards fit my needs perfectly. All the 'use-once-a-year-but-must-carry-everyday' cards were bundled up and put in two hidden slots.The cash stays snug and your cards do not fly out of the wallet once you throw the wallet on the table or bed. The cash slot is compact. But, I think you need to 'break the leather'. So, if you have wrinkly-old bills, they'll be hard to get all the way in. This will get better with time, in my opinionUsually, I do a 1-2-3 check every time ... Keys, Wallet, Phone. This new thin wallet now is surprisingly thin, and I often need to a 1-2-2-3 check. So, it serves the purpose.Lastly, I own a Chase Sapphire card. This is made from stainless steel. I guess, I was sloppy in putting it back in the slot and it ended up scratching my wallet. I need to be more careful with putting my cards back in. Again, this will get easier once the leather breaks out.Overall the build quality is fantastic and it is a minimalist wallet and a very premium wallet. I am very happy with my purchase.One extra note: I often fly international and carry my passport on me all the time. My old wallet was bulky and so during my check-in, I would usually carry my passport in the other front pocket along with my cellphone and earphones. Now, with this new wallet being so slim, I store my passport in the same pocket as my wallet during my travel. So, it load out. So, this was an unexpected plus. In an international flight ... carrying this wallet, foreign currency was very convenient in Economy class, and I didnt find the need to remove the wallet from my pockets when I was in my seat.I love this wallet now!

I have used many minimalist wallets, money clips, "smallets" and the sort. I am a big guy, 6'2 roughly 250 pounds, and putting wallets in my back pocket has caused my cards to snap over time. So I've experimented with different types of wallets to put in my front pocket. After trying different brands and different types of wallets and money clips, I eventually came across this one.Pros:1. Beautiful. The craftsmanship of this wallet is simply beautiful.It is a simple and minimalist design, something I was looking for, but there is an elegance to its simplicity.Pictures just do not do justice to the actual product.2. Profile: This is a thin wallet. This was exactly I was looking for. Admittedly, I do not carry too many cards,but I loaded this wallet up with a total of 8 cards, and it still fit in my front pocket easily and comfortably.3. Comfort: Again, I place this in my front pocket. This wallet is wide enough and light enough to the point whereI almost don't realize I have it in my pocket compared to the other stuff I've been using. This could be a con for some,but I love the comfort of having this in my front pocket.Cons:1. This is barely a con. When I first entered my cards in the card slots, I noticed I scratched the surface of the inside of the wallet.The inside does scratch somewhat easily, but that is to be expected with most types of leathers. Admittedly, I'm not the most gentleand dainty guy so it could just be my own buffoonary.I don't consider myself cheap, but I do try to be frugal. I know compared to other brands, this wallet is quite pricey. This could be seen as a con,but I rather pay once for quality, instead of constantly buying to replace something that is of low quality. After using this wallet throughout the weekend, I feel that this will last me for a long time. The quality and craftsmanship is there.I am 100% satisfied and pleased with this product.

I was looking for a new wallet, and after reading the reviews of this one on Amazon I decided to give it a shot. I am very pleased with my purchase. As the other reviewers have said this wallet looks great, smells great (yes I know this may be odd to some, but I can't stop smelling this wallet), and feels great. It is a million times nicer than the cheap twenty dollar wallets you see in department stores.The leather feels very premium, like the kind of leather you might find in an expensive luxury automobile. It is also really nice to purchase a product made in the USA, and because Rugged Material is a direct to consumer company I feel this wallet is a good value. I am sure if I wanted to buy another wallet of similar quality from a brand name I'd pay at least double what I paid for this wallet. I feel like I am going to have this wallet for a very long time, and would definitely recommend this to others.

Purchased 9 months ago along with some cheaper wallets; I was hoping to like the cheaper wallets and return this more expensive one, but I really liked this one so I returned the cheaper ones. 9 months later and the only wear is that the ink on the logo wore off. I keep this in the same front pocket as my cell phone. Slim, holds 10 cards, some business cards, cash (10+ bills), and a sports schedule. Functional, stylish, 11/10 would recommend to a friend.
