I really really wanted to love this book. I just can't. The book is laid out showing the primary motif, and then, someplace else, four variations on it. Not all the original motifs are charted. The variations aren't charted, and the instructions are in blocks of text, rather than each row on its own line. Sometimes the variation is in line three, so you can bounce between instructions for the original and the variation. Sometimes the variation is; use a super bulky yarn. Really? And it's a pet peeve, but some names of the motifs are nauseatingly twee. It's not a star, it's 'twinkle.' It isn't a snowflake, it's 'blizzard.' Blech. There's no index, so good luck finding anything, especially when some motifs are named Bob, Annette, or Mary, for no apparent reason. I don't think it's the author's fault. I blame the book designer, who should consider a new career.

Nice book! Brings together a lot of fun ideas and variations in one place. Some (not all) of the images, including charts, are pretty small, but they're very clear, and enlarged copies would work well. The format of the book is small (the dimensions are in the product description), so you have to expect that. It's a very attractive, well-organized, colorful book of motif and stitch patterns, tips, and ideas.

When I ordered this book I assumed it was a different book due to the different covers. Well nope each of the little books are The same. No problem for me I always need a gift or two :-). Transaction very Smooth..fast delivery..well packaged. Will use again.

Pattern print is horribly tiny. This needed to be printed in a full size format, not a 6"x6" book.

bought this book and another called 500 crochet blocks, they are the exact same thing. they have 2 different covers and descriptions. the sellers were wonderful but when I received the books they were the same except they changed the covers. page for page the same exact patterns. either I was sent the wrong item or the author is ripping people off by offering 2 diff titles and descriptions for the same book. not worth my time to return so I will give to someone else. I will never buy another book by the authors. I have been shopping on amazon for over a year and this is my first horrible/bad experience. doesn't deserve even one star, only gave it one because it appears to be required!!!!!

I was hoping for a Kindle version of 500 Crochet Blocks, but this wasn't it.It was sort of a patched together version of the previous book.Don't waste your money on this Kindle version, buy the original.
