Since I was 7-8 years old, I wore a version of the Baracuta original jacket. In the late 60s and 70s, Peter jackets were THE jacket to have in high school. I could not afford one but wore something similar. I ordered and received my first original Baracuta G9. It has the classic lines that I always loved. These a cut a little slimmer than the ones I used to wear with a higher armhole- so I moved up from a 42 to a 44. It has excellent workmanship and detailing. I like the fact that the inner lining is made of Coolmax, which will allow for quick drying and ventilation. It is a very versatile jacket and my go-to about 85-90% of the time. So it is a good investment- having a quality jacket that meets my esthetic tastes and needs.

Not Authentic
I ordered a dark navy and the tan. I returned the tan because, while they are the same listing and the same price, they are NOT the same jacket. The tan had only partial plaid lining inside, rather than the full lining on the authentic Baracuta. The zippers were different - and lower quality on the tan. Baracuta label was different. I could go on, and wish I had taken pictures of the jackets side by side before I returned the tan.

Amazing quality, blown away!
I never really review anything but was so impressed with this jacket I felt obligated to. For context, I am 6' 180lbs with an athletic build (size 42 chest, 32 waist). After reading a bunch of reviews and surfing other pages I decided to be safe and order a size up with a 44. Incredibly happy I did as this jacket would have been too tight at a 42 and is a perfectly slim and comfortable fit at a 44. The quality of the material is ridiculous, the tartan lining is beautiful, button interior pocket functional and retro, and really everything about this made in England jacket screams attention to detail and old-school quality. It is a vintage style bomber with heritage and a modern cut that will never go out of style and while it is definitely expensive, it is undoubtedly worth the price. I bought a second one in tan I was so in love. This and a Barbour Ashby are the staple jackets for a young professional and have a place in any man's wardrobe.

Classic
They are expensive. That is what I thought until I wore them for the first time. They are 100% worth the money. I think the best thing about them is that they are water-proof yet breathable. You can wear them all-season. They do run small so get a size larger.

RUNS SMALL 6'1" 205 lbs Athletic Build
This jacket is well worth the money spent. Lightweight but heavy, if that makes sense to you. Much better quality from popular brands that love their logo. Most important on sizing runs small. I like a somewhat slim fit in jackets, I'm 6'1" 205 lbs, athletic....I normally will wear a 42 to have a snug fit, my first order I did just so and it was too small. I ordered a 44 and it gives me that perfect snug fit I like. If you are my measurements or close, then order a 44 for a snug, but if you like looser and to multi-layer, definitely a 46. Hope that helps.

Really swanky jacket - be cautious about size
High quality jacket made in England. It’s pretty dressy if you pair it with a nice pair of high top leather boots, yet pair this jacket with a nice of sneaker it could look super casual as well.Be sure to double check the sizing since it’s UK size. I normally wear 36 US jacket, but Baracuta 38 UK is the right fit. Note that, these new G9 are already cut slim too.,,. I also got to try on a 36, but that jacket is really like a 34 or XS to me. Feel free to AMA.

There is no substitute for the real Baracuta G9
Looks great, feels great. I ordered a similar Harrington from a different maker and then ordered the G9 to compare them. It took two seconds to determine that the G9 is far better, although much more expensive. It's always the same thing - you get what you pay for.Knowing that the G9 runs small, I ordered an XL instead of an L.

Classic perfection
Elvis, James Dean, and Steve McQueen can’t be wrong. This jacket is perfection. Costs more but save up, because it s worth the extra cost. Will be my go-to for years to come.
