I've used this strop several times on my sushi knives, and the results have been impressive. The strop and the compound provide a quick and efficient honing experience. The quality of the leather and the compound are top-notch, as the leather will not wear out quickly, and I'll be able to use it for a long time.

Bought this to use with a knife sharpener. Wasn’t sure how much difference it would make but I was very surprised at how much it improved the quality of the edge. Good quality, wide.

Works amazingly for sharpening pocket knives and kitchen knives. I have a sharpening system that I use from work sharp to sharpen the pocket knives and kitchen knives and then I use this strap to hone these knives and they become razor sharp. If you’re looking for a strop this is definitely one I recommend.

I picked up a gold dollar razor and this strop to try my hand at honing, stropping and shaving with a traditional straight. I already had a set of shapton stones up to 8k so I was looking for a minimal investment in case I ruined the razor. On a YouTube video the creator recommended treating the surface with a few dime size drops of mineral oil before applying the paste to get the most even and consistent application, this keeps it from hotspotting and you can feel the difference when you run a blade over it, but let it dry/ absorb overnight before use. The leather has very nice grain, and the paste cuts much quicker than you would think unless you have many knives above 60 on the Rockwell scale, then you may need diamond spray. I wish I knew this before I spent 80-120 bucks a piece for stones I would just go to this after 1500-2000 and that is all that would be necessary for working knives for all but the most analy retentive among us... All you need is a very flat surface underneath to keep from rolling your edge if you are sharpening fine tools for pushcutting. It fits nicely on the atoma plate I use for surfacing my stones. If the maker reads this maybe consider offering one a few inches longer for kitchen cutlery with blades over 10" and maybe a balsa backing board that can also be used to strop if the surface finish is up to snuff, for two or three times the price of course...

It's just as you expect it to be, think it will last a long time, perhaps a tad expensive coming from America, the exchange rate to Uk not very good (2021) but it works well.

It does the job. The leather is good quality for the purpose. I ended up leaving the green compound in my car on a hot day and it melted. When it cooled it was fine but don't make the mistake I did as I lost the the nice brick shape of the compound.
