Chill Pill Audio Hammerhead Neoprene Case for 13-Inch MacBook Pro/Air - Black (5/HAM11523)

I chose this case for all its cool design features, reasonable price and apparently good materials. For a while I was really pleased. It fit my macbook well, the neoprene was indeed good quality, the external pocket spacious and the carry-on handle surprisingly useful. After a few months of use, though, I started having problems with the zippers. A first, and in hindsight ominous, warning came when one of the zipper pulls broke clean in half, neatly severing the hammerhead shark's head. A few more months later (about 8 months after the purchase) the real disaster struck: first the stitching on the main zipper started to unravel, then one of the zippers themselves came off one of the sides. Finally, when trying to fit it back on, part of the zipper track broke, leaving it unusable. I now have a cool-looking case that unfortunately doesn't zip closed. Will look elsewhere for my next case, unfortunately.

First of all, this has been discontinued and you probably can't buy it any more - I had to try a couple sellers listed on Amazon before I found one that actually had the item in stock (several that claimed to did not).Definitely made to fit 13" MacBookPro and not 13" Macbook Air. The case wider than needed but it is a squeeze to fit in in both length and height. It works fine though. I really like the exterior pocket, which I use to hold the power cord and an external mouse. It fits quite a bit; I can put some other small things in there if I need to. This was a major selling point for me. So far the handle hasn't actually been used as I carry it in a backpack and it is standing up the other way, but seems like it should be handy.

This is a good product -- seems durable, thick enough to prevent damage upon dropping, and sturdy handle. But it is clearly meant for the MacBook Pro and not the Air. Yes, the Air fits but it is bulky and is not a tight fit at all. I am keeping this but I think it should be noted more clearly that this fits the Air but is not going to be a snug fit.

Here is the truth about this product: it looks nice, is a nice material BUT it is not heavy duty as the description claims. It may protect against scratches but if for some reason this case takes a hard fall with your computer in it.....I would be shocked if it was undamaged.Just being honest.....I am sorry I bought it before checking it out in a store first. Do your research and buy a case that is truly "heavy duty"......the foam that came in the case to give it form is stronger material then the case.

It's just the style I wanted, but it's so tight, fitting the power cord in the pocket is a challenge. Just needs a little more give.

Great case- fits my MacBook 13-inch perfectly. A zippered outside pocket and handle. Seems well made and durable. Adequate padding, not too bulky. I feel this will last many years. The only thing I don't love is the strong smell but it's subsided quite a bit the past few days and I have yet to try washing it. 5 stars

Fantastic for smaller devices to carry this and just another small accessory with the external pouch. I use this when I do a lunch meeting and have to work a little during / before / after while remote. Protects the device and adds almost zero weight.

The perfect thickness in a case, not too bulky yet definitely protects my macbook air. Love the zipper location, makes it easy to get out of my backpack! The lining on the case is white, not red, but still looks great!
