This handle is complete garbage. If you are replacing an existing door handle, the holes are 7.75” apart and standard American handles are 8.25” apart. To top it off, this thing is built like trash. See pics. I blame myself for being so cheap. I wasn’t expecting high quality for the price, but the finish and cut is not straight or complete. Pay a little more for something name brand.

My husband bought me a new front door for Christmas this year (exactly what I asked for) and I couldn't bear to put the same old hardware onto my beautiful new door. So, Amazon to the rescue. I searched new hardware and saw this piece. I ordered, hoping it would be as beautiful as the pictures. IT WAS!!!! Easy for me to install (he installed the door, the least I could do was install the hardware) and functioned perfectly. However, in my situation, I had to buy a new kickplate as well. It was less than 3 dollars but the old kickplate just looked hideous with the new handle. Depending on the age, you might want to consider a new kickplate but that is nothing against this item, just throwing it out there

Looks great! Didn’t last 5 days. We installed the lock drilling a hole in the door to do so. The lock broke while we were out of town to were know one could open the door. I need a product of the same size now so I don’t have a random hole in my door. Very upset about this product the door is an expensive piece to replace if I don’t find something that works. I sent back and never got my refund until I called amazon.

First off it did not even come with a template to mark the door for your holes. Fortunately I had the main holes already there. You will need to drill a third hole for the bottom of the handle which will always be there if you end up replacing this knob in the future. I had a lot of trouble installing. I couldn’t join the two sides of the handle and so noticed in my attempt to make it work it’s unusual mechanism. This scared me so I actually ended up trying it out in an old door I had and good thing I did because I realized that it would stick and require you to jiggle both handles to unstick. Something that would not be easy to do if you are locked out and can’t open the door to have access to both handles.I flip houses and am very willing to compromise quality for value. But not even for a flip on a low end house would I use this knob. Trust me this will end up costing you more in having to replace, in frustration and in seeing the patched hole in your expensive door that your replacement knob won’t cover.

Installation was fairly simple, follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. Color is as the picture shows it (sometimes this color comes in different random shades depending on the company)

Works great! The whole set is very sturdy and durable. I use it with a smart deadbolt lock and this bottom handleset works perfectly with it. The deadbolt is the lock and this piece is just the door handle. It latches but doesn't lock so keep that in mind. You'll need a second deadbolt lock to secure the door.
