I was a bit surprised when I discovered that despite the width being 3m, it was only 2.5. This is because sale shades curve inwards. I ordered a different one but the quality of that one was dreadful, a bit like the padding around a trampoline that the sun destroys. It was also made in a mesh style so you could see through it. I sent that one back and put this one up. I absolutely love it. We have sat underneath it in heavy rain and stayed dry, although when the wind blows the rain does come in. Its made from a quality fabric and looks really expensive. The only reason its lost a star is due to a sagging area near one corner. It was installed at the correct angle so rain can run off but one small area sags and rain pools. I have a carrier bag with holes in the bottom and some silicone tubes in it that I have clipped onto this area now when it rains and problem solved. We like it so much we want to put a permanent structure up so we can enjoy the extra space all year round. Sitting under it when its raining is so relaxing.

Having had a triangular sun sail for a few years, I decided to get a larger sail for this hot, sunny weather.This item seemed good enough so I ordered it.What isn’t made clear is that this particular ‘shade’ is made from a woven nylon fibers material.So, you get what looks rather like a massive tea bag with thousands of holes all over it.You can see your hand through the material and holding it up to the sun resulted in loads of pin points of sun being let through onto the table below.Yes, this will provide you with some shade, but probably not as much as you were hoping for.It appears well made and arrived in good time. However I want a sun shade that’s actually going to protect me from the sun.

My Advice to anyone purchasing- GET THE NEXT SIZE DOWN!Overall the canopy is ok, great material and seems hardy enough for the job.I was Super excited when it arrived only to find the dimensions were out. For a 3x5m it should have been perfect for our decking 3.2x5.4m ensuring canopy would be taught allowing plenty of room for attacthments to work properly. Unfortunately the size we received was 3.1x5.3m not allowing us to use attachments and have to find alternatives to allow for the extra material. I know everyone will be saying should have checked the size before attaching but on this scale it was impossible. The canopy does not get tight enough and as a result dips in the middle not allowing tension.Also it stretches in the heat, as the weather has been extremely hot it seems to have stretched and immense amount. The little bit of rain we have had (thinking it may shrink back due to it being cooler) has had not effect and probably stretched it more.

Very pleased. Make sure the you work out the angles of the suns path throughout the day before you put the screws in the wall.

Hi the sail is ok just 1 area the threads are lose like been caught and pulled and coming undo ?

Good enough quality. Feels like a Nylon groundsheet. Not sure how to hold it up though as it's so big that it slumps a lot. I'd advise that people have a good look at how to support these before buying... I have dug long poles into the ground to support it 3 meters or so above ground. The seams along the edges have lasted the 3 times it's been used. I can't test it in all weathers for fear that the house might lift off the ground if I used this in windy conditions! My guests have found the shelter it provides very good.

Great sail, and the size was as described. Seems well made, however it the extreme sun we've had this week (34c+) you can feel the sun burning you through the canopy - but a lot less than if you were in the actual sun itself - in the normal sun weather we have (25c ish) it's perfect.

This was purchased to use on a roof terrace in Spain and it does the job really well. There are similar, more expensive, products but this looks good and is perfectly adequate.Very satisfied.
