Q: Is there enough support for a D cup?

No they are not bra support. They are like a top slip. The are comfortable and wash nicely. But you do need to wear a bra with them.

Q: Why such a dramatic price difference? Why is a 6x $7.70 but a 1x is $18.80?? Makes no sense.

I checked to make sure your information was correct and it was.. I don't have a clue. I would assume it would be the law of demand and supply... there are more 1X people than 6X so they can ask more for the 1X --- they are very nice and soft -
