Coronavirus: A Book For Kids Paperback – April 15, 2020

This book is packed with information. It is a lot to take in visually, but it explains everything in kid-friendly language (for my 5 year old). I really liked how it presented many scenarios and compared coronavirus to other germs. It explains vaccines and viruses in an easy-to-understand way. I hope RL Margolin will write one about the start of school and distance learning next!

This is not a book for kids. It is terrible.

As a mom, I couldn’t find a decent resource on COVID-19 that seemed accurate and also engaging for a child. The book takes the time to explain the issues – from the historical perspective of past pandemics to social distancing. It is written for kids, but grown-ups can learn from the book too – I definitely did!The Coronavirus pandemic glossary was so helpful and I loved that the author provided a source list. The book provides the TRUTH without being unapproachable or unnecessarily scary (all other kids' books on COVID seem to be scary or inaccurate).The illustrations are so fun and the vibrant colors caught my daughter’s eye! There was a clear effort to include different ethnicities and abilities in the illustrations. Well done, R.L. Margolin!! I’m blown away. I’ll definitely be getting a copy to send our nephew too!

This is a very cute and remarkably comprehensive book. I love the illustrations, and find the content very helpful - it addresses many of the questions my kids have already asked (and a few more they haven't thought of yet).

It’s was really simple way of explaining what is going on right now. It doesn’t dumb anything down but just speaks matter of fact tone that my daughter found pretty reassuring.

This book is sensitive and engaging and just right for the questions younger kids have. Thank you for sharing this important resource for our kids!
