I purchased this and was extemely excited to get it in.(PLEASE NOTE ALMOST ALL GOOD REVIEWS APPEAR TO BE FROM PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED THIS ITEM FOR FREE~Bad reviews as well but i cannot find ANY good reviews from people who actually PAID for this item)First-I have medium length to long hair. It is average thickness. This could not even brush through the hair without me holding individual sections taught. I can do that with an Iron and get a smoother result without having to go over it 3 or 4 timesSecond-The rubber tips came off within the first 30 second i was trying to use the device. I would return it except some of the rubber tips fell and i cannot locate them. You can actually pull them right out, so yes, when your hair comes in contact with them they pull right out-not much protection-after all, your combing a head full of hairThirdly-It was hard to handle and like most reviews the power and the temperature buttons are in the exact place your hands go so i was constantly changing the temp in a 1 minute time of trying to work with the brush.Fourth-The LCD was so dim i was squinting and turning off the bsthroom light to see the temp (i tried the highest temp and by the end of 3 minutes, i had slightly warm fuzzy hair and a very well toned Bi-cept)Over all a HUGE HUGE disapointment-My iron can actually do a better job in a shorter period of time (down side is my bi and tri cept doesnt get the same work out)**Note if you use a brush on one side and the striaghtening brush to sandwich hair together is does do a tad bit better job but who has time for that?? if i want a sanwich i can go get one from the fridgeThe only thing decent about this product is the Cord seems to be quality

It is decent, probably even better than I thought, but your hair can't be a frizzy kinky mess when you use it, it is really better for touch ups on your already straight hair. I still need my flat iron, I was hoping since this touches so much more hair because the heat elements are the bristles it would do a better job, but it leaves too much body and doesn't make it shine and straight better than the traditional iron. I use it for touch ups and some body if I want to add it.The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is, 1, the tempurature display is only in Celsius. 2. the controls are in the exact wrong spot where you put your hand to brush your hair, I'm always accidentally hitting the buttons.Overall I would recommend it, with not great expectations.

It wasn't anything to write home about. I guess it kind of worked, but mine must have been defective. It wouldn't hold the heat/temperature and as i tried to brush my hair, it kept getting caught in the rubber. The heat keys are also in an inconvenient place and I kept bumping it with my thumb.Take it or leave it, really. I'm returning mine. I'd hoped for a miracle but nothing will straighten my hair like a good old fashioned straightener from Target.

I will be sending this product back. I really wanted to love it for my daughter's hair, but it just didn't work well for us. My daughter has coarse, curly hair and this brush straightener was recommended to me by a friend who has similar hair. I'm not sure if this one is defective or if it just isn't a good match for her hair.

Has rubber parts that snag your hair and pull it out. Does not work quicker than a flat iron which is why I purchased this for my daughter. I thought this was going to make her before school routine simpler but it ended up being just as time consuming as the flat iron.

My teenage daughter has very thick long hair and it takes quite a while to flat iron. I was hoping this product would be a new way to get her hair straight without it being such a process. It doesn't work for her. At best, it flattens down some of the finer top layer, but over-all she says it is useless and she isn't able to do what she wants with her hair. She is Caucasian, so I'm not sure how it would be on ethnic hair, but for us it is pretty much a waste.

Not for really curly hair. Leaves hair puffy and frizzy.

This hair straightener did not deliver on its promise. The hair does not come out perfectly straight, actually quite wavy. The red dots are rubber - so they pull hair out. I had to take them off in order to run the brush through my hair. The handle is also a weak design because anytime you touch the handle, you accidentally change the heat setting or touch the power button.It is a great concept and needs to be perfected, I stopped using this after a couple attempts.
