Photographed in what has become the 1313 house (a sterile, meandering haunt) in Malibu, we see young men walking aimlessly around with nothing on but their tideywhiteys, playing a bit of catch football which ends with some silly body grabbing wrestling, or swimming back and forth in an outdoor pool which has obviously been relooped. The same thing holds for one individual who is shown working out on a pull up bar. Seemingly endless relooping shows his activity and bared upper body muscularity. This film is supposed to be some sort of frat get together. But, as it happens, this house was built on top of what was once an asylum for the insane. One female resident, locked in a padded cell, was burned to death when the asylum went up in flames and she could not be saved. Evidently, her corporeal ghost now haunts this house and a mere touch which is barely felt if felt at all is enough to turn any of the young men into a zombie. Their numbers expand as they "initiate" other frat members off camera who never resist and are obviously overcome. A couple of separate shower scenes involving two young men who endlessly rub their bodies with soapless water while the camera never goes below their hip line are supposed to titillate us. If you're lucky you'll fall asleep during all this. Commentary by DeCoteau which is available in a Special Feature is so inane that one could go into a sugar shock. One young man is described as being "sweet" so many times that one wonders if DeCoteau is drooling while talking. At one point DeCoteau admits that the film was too short (I thought that it was exceedingly long) and, therefore, confesses to lengthening it by having that "sweet" near nude young man walk around the house and the outside deck for about 10+ excruciating minutes before winding up in one of the rooms. I won't give away the ending - I'm not even sure if there was one or if they didn't just run out of film. In conclusion: This is Dreck with a Capital D and should be avoided at all cost lest you turn into a zombie.
