Best product for the wood work.
Best product ever~!You should use this for any wood work. This doesn't come with the resin, so make sure you get the package with the resin. You should apply the resin first so that this epoxy clay would stick strong to the wood. This is far much better than any other product. When completely dry, the hardness is really close to the wood and it is easy to sand and to get nice surface quality.

Overall, it is a good product that drys into a very stable substance that is very hard, tool-able, and paint-able.But, it doesn't work like the traditional putties that I've used. It is not always easy to work , because of it's stiff , yet still pliable consistency. So, once I pressed it into the hole I was filling, it was difficult to trowel it down with a putty knife, in order to level it off to the hole's upper edge. So, since I didn't realize how hard it would be to level it with a putty knife, I ended up putting too much woodepox in the hole. Normally, I think most people would rectify this issue by aggressively sanding it down to the hole's edge, and the level of the the item being filled, but I was working in a very tight fitting area, which had no room for aggressive sanding. So, I don't recommend using this product in a very tight area, unless you don't care about how it will look, and just want a functional fill that does the job of keeping the area protected from the elements. And, I also don't recommend using this product in an area that is difficult to access with an electric sander, because if you put in in too high, then you're stuck with it being too high. On the flip side, it is easy to mix, and can be done by hand,. I spooned equal portions of part A and B onto a board, and then picked it up with my hand, and mixed it by hand , while wearing latex gloves. No accurate measuring is necessary, and eye- balling the equal proportions is adequate, and I've had no problems with getting the right amounts .. So , while mixing, and kneading it by hand, it is ready to use when there is a uniform color throughout, with no streaking that is caused by one of the parts not being completely mixed in. So, when it is uniform in color, and feels like a stiff, yet pliable clay , it is ready to be pushed into the opened area.. Overall, this material dries to an amazingly hard substance that looks as though it will last for years. But, learning how to work it, at least for myself, will take more practice.

I expected it to more malleable
I understand binary products. Each of these components was quite dry. It took about 10+ minutes using a paint mixing stick pounding the two parts together. Really … pounding. Finally I was able to get the two items of different color into a new mixed color. Directions did not describe that this was to Be expected. At this point the consistency was very very dry and it had tendency to flake apart. I was patching a whole in a wood board. It was so dry that I could not use a putty knife to apply it into the hole. I ended up using disposal gloves and pushing it into the hole. It was not easy to form it into the space. It did dry and was able to be sanded and then painted. I’m unsure, if this was typical behavior or if the product was old or whatever. But it did work. If my experience was typical of what to expect, the instructions should state that. It did not shrink when it dried and that is what I needed, solid and no shrinkage and paintable. So 3 stars.

Easy to sand, not easy to match color of wood, however.
No slumping, cures very hard to off-white (almost white) but sandable solid.Absorbs stain, but good luck trying to match existing wood. I was not very successful, but better than before. Problem is that it is white, and wood is not, and both abosrb stain differently, but they're touching so there's no good way to color match at the transition between wood and this epoxy. When sanding, be aware that this sands much faster (10x) than wood. So, you'll need to be careful, using sand paper glued/stapled to wood blocks or a flat surface if you want to sand it flat with no dips.Somehow sticks to wood eventually, but not initially when you first put it on. I recommend "keying" in the surface with a small amount of the epoxy first, just to try to get it to wet the surface, and then adding more epoxy and being careful to not create air pockets, as you shape your pre-sanded form. Don't worry about hideous blobs sticking out, those can be sanded down. Just fill the space, plus extra.
