waste if you have a 4G XBOX 360
the game is possible fun, it looks like it, but there's always a catch. if you get a 4G do not buy this if your planing on it unless there is some kind of title update. wont work because it only does external hardrive which i had plugged in with a transfer kit. u can move kinect to a friends unless u get a stand alone one for a regular 360. only 1 star because i didnt get the ful potential

fun if you always wanted to star in the movies
I like how you get to be in the picture but there are some things that I wish were different. I would enjoy it more if there were more choices for 2 people to act at once. Also, to read the script sometimes you are facing away from the person you are supposed to be talking to in the film. If you are watching family or friends doing the acting you will laugh.

Fun Fun Fun!
Out of all the X-Box games we have, this one is always fun! It keeps you laughing as you can ad lib lines as you watch yourself in scenes from hit movies! My Son who is in 2nd grade loves this! My friends and family love it to! You can just sit and watch and have a great time! I really wasn't expecting much from this but I have to say, We were blown away!If you have Kinect and don't have this, you are surely missing out!

great game for groups
I am an avid gamer and video person. Was a bit worried by other reviews and prior version info but I have to say I had no problems with my first 'run' of the game.Points: It states clearly in manual that lighting and background noise are most common issues. Again being a video guy, I own a fabric 'green screen' and I used 2 clip on lights to brighten the area. Videos came out clear...have not posted any yet as I want to get a group with props before posting any to yoostar/ facebook. Mic did pic up some background noise but this was due to laughter and pointers from too many directors on the set...Rulebook also states that if another person is in view that they will show up...this is true, make certain that background is clear.I had to raise the kinect to a higher level as it normally sits below TV. This is also stated in book that it needs to be about chest high.Only con at the moment is the actual cropping. With a normal camera you can zoom in to get exact cropping ( shoulders, head, perspective, etc...) again, this was just a play test so I plan on moving back to TV and maybe purchase a mount to place above screen.Suggest learning the lines by previewing scenes as you may not always be able to read from screen.I think that this is a great concept for a party game and the execution is good.Best scene so far is a toss up between Khan! and Mike Tyson hangover scene.Bottom line. Fun but needs some work to get it right. Should be a steady stream of DLC to keep this game fresh for a long time.

Great idea, but marred by technical problems and very limited selection
This is a fun party game (I couldn't imaging doing this by yourself) but there are only 3 or 4 two-player scenes. In those, usually one person does all the talking and the other has one or two lines. I won't discuss the video quality, but that's really not an issue for me.The problems lie in it's (mis)use of the Kinect sensor. If two players are in view, it seems to get very "confused" about controlling the cursor, and it's impossible to navigate the menu. We kept needing to shoo people out of sight while selecting scenes to perform. The most glaring error/problem is that since I'm 6 feet tall, and my wife is only 5 feet, she can never be "in-frame" unless she stands on a box or something. That I can forgive, since there's really no way around it. However, when just taking turns doing single player scenes, it keeps tilting the kinect sensor up towards the ceiling. It got to a point where even I had to jump up on a stool to be seen. I ended up needing to open the kinect tuner after every scene to re-adjust the tilt of the camera. Very frustrating and annoying.

Very misleading advertising
When I first heard about Yoostar2, I was really excited. After viewing the promotional video clips, I was even more excited. When you watch the promo clips you are given the impression that when you buy and play the game that the video clips you produce are going to look like the promo clips. WRONG. Your videos are not even close to the promo clips. The video images are pixelated and poor quality and the audio is not that great. In my opinion, the makers of the game recorded the promo clips in a studio with a hi def camera and studio quality lighting. They definitely did not use an xbox/kinect to make the promo clips. The manufacturer of the game should have put a disclaimer on the promo clips telling prospective purchasers that a xbox/kinect was not used to make the scenes. Some people have indicated that there is something in the game manual about lighting. The problem is that you need to buy the game and open it to see the manual and then it is too late to return the game for a credit or refund. The game is a fun game to play if you don't care about the quality of the clips that you produce. However, I would not want to share poor quality clips on Facebook or Twitter for my friends to see. If you want to verify what I am telling you, go to youtube and view the promo clips and then watch the clips made by people using an xbox/kinect and you will have to agree with me.Yoostar, you guys should really be ashamed at misleading the public.

Meh. It’s ok
It takes a lot to get this to work (Kinect, external storage and because they’re out of business and don’t update the software it has to be Microsoft Xbox external storage) and once it does work the green screen effect is below average at best but it’s fun for a go round now and again
