Acrylic Plastic Products Counter Protector with Lip, 15-Inch by 15-Inch

I bought this board after my friends had visited and both he and his wife complimented me on my "identical" board while they were here. So, I sent this board to them in a different state just prior to my recent visit, so they would have it for the party they were throwing.It arrived on the day of the party (as planned) and I inspected it before it got put to use for salsa prep. It was very close to the one I had bought for myself a lot of years ago. How many years? I really don't know, but probably about 12 or more.I have literally chopped a ton of veggies and fruit on my board, as well as plenty of other things. And I've never had a problem with it. Yes, this will get slice marks in it, like mine did. But NO, you aren't going to get small pieces of acrylic coming off in your food. Will it dull your knives? Of course. Compared to a wood block? No clue. It's never been a problem for me. Acrylic is definitely more resistant to microbial growth than wood and that's a major plus for me.Check the pics of my board. It is all sliced up and quite stained (I need to bleach it), but it's still 100% good to go. I did lose two of the feet early on, but it happened because I yanked the board out of the dish drying rack too hard and snagged them while doing it. I never bothered gluing them back on and haven't had an issue at all without them.It's simply the most useful device in my kitchen and I normally use it at least once a day. Great for general food prep and serving, too. So, yes, it's a pretty expensive chunk of plastic, but considering its possible longevity (not to mention cool storage options), the cost comes out to maybe $2 dollars a year. Bottom line - highly recommended.

I ordered two of these boards to replace my existing counter top protectors. One was perfect. Unfortunately the other had minor scratches. As it took a while to receive them, no ones fault, they came from a different country, I'm hesitant to return the damaged board.

I agree with the rater who said this product is thinner and not as sturdy as an earlier version. Also with the rater who noted that it bows when pressed. And one of the foot pads fell off the first tie I put the board on my counter. I don't prepare a lot of food, so the sturdiness and bowing may not turn out to be an issue for me, and I can glue the foot pads back on with stronger glue. The board is much clearer than my cloudy old board, so looks much better on my counter.

Very sturdy and easy to clean. DO NOT use a cleaver to cut meat or something else. We had one before and ruined it using a cleaver

My previous one gave years of service and finally cracked and broke close to the lip. The dimensions are slightly misleading, but not intended to deceive. The plastic is indeed 15" x 15", but the lip takes up 1.5". This makes the working surface 15" wide by 13.5" deep. The plastic is slightly less that an 1/8th of an inch thick. This was okay with me as these were the same dimensions as the one I was replacing. I am confident this counter protector/cutting surface will provide the same service as it's predecessor. It was well packed and delivered in a timely fashion.

Bought this to replace one just like it that has lasted over 40 years. (although not used as a cutting board.) This one came with two of the four non-skid foot pads missing. Guess it will do OK without the two back pads. My old one didn't have any pads and slid around some so I was hoping that this one would be better. Seems like this is a common problem with this product as others have noted this problem. Not returning it at this time. Just not worth the trouble but disappointed that quality control is so poor.

I needed a flat level surface to set on top of an uneven plastic surface. I wanted a piece 15" x 15". However, the measurements given to describe this item were inaccurate. The original piece might have been 15" x 15" but then after they've bent the piece for the lip, then the flat surface is only 15" x 13". It really irks me when measurements are not useful. For my purpose, this piece is barely adequate, not what I had really wanted.

Good for having something on your counter all the time when you're too forgetful, too lazy or in too much of a hurry to grab a cutting board. I like that it has the lip, and the little grippy feet to keep it from moving.However, that being said. I don't know if they're all like this, or it was just mine, but the board is slightly bowed upward, so that when pressure is applied in a downward manner (like when I'm cutting), the board has some give to it.Not a big deal, but annoying enough that I'm now debating whether I really want to order more or not.

I have been using acrylic surfaces forever... They las a long time and are easy to clean! The only thing I would do is add 2 rubber feet on the other side for better balance on the counter... I add silicone drops underneath for anti slip properties.

the counter protectors keep countertops clean and clutter free. Very resilient and easy to clean.

There is nothing to dislike about this product. I always have it on the counter as it disappears on any counter top.
