It lasts for a very long time. The small line at the bottom (under the microphone part on the back) has broken on one of the ones I bought, but it was still usable and the piece, while broken, stayed intact for months after the break.I also find that the card compartment doesn't stay "locked" securely and after about 2 weeks of use will just open freely, which isn't great if you have an ID or CC in there. I use a piece of tape to keep it closed.
