It's Not Always Easy to Say I Love You
Peyton and Angelo are romantically attracted to one another throughout the novel. However, Peyton has been hurt previously by a guy named Matthew Elton. Matthew's family are elite Bostons with money, money, money. However, the family welcomes only the so called right people in their family. Peyton does not meet their standards of quality. The emotional pain stays with Peyton for a long time almost killing the relationship with Angelo DeMeglio, an African-American Italian.Angelo falls completely in love with Peyton. He desires her with every beat of his heart. When the time comes to voice the words I love you, Peyton is unable to say she loves Angelo. While reading the novel I thought about the fact that for some people it is possible to have wonderful moments of sexual intimacy without commitment. This type of relationship only leads to horrible heartache for one or both of the people involved.I became angry with Peyton. I wanted her to grab Angelo before he gave up on her ever returning his love. I wanted to tell Peyton because one apple is rotten does not mean the whole tree of apples is rotten. While Peyton's feelings go up and down like a roller coaster her friends Mac and Sam stick with her trying to help her see the fine qualities in Angelo and his family. Peyton is learning the fact that giving love and receiving love is never easy. Each person comes with a little or a lot of baggage. The baggage has to be unpacked. By that I mean lovers must communicate, sharing their truths with one another which leads to more and more trust. Then, there is the matter of time. It seems every person is packaged with their time clock. They have a certain amount of time to wait and a certain amount of time when they will feel it is time to give up and move on to a new relationship. In COURTING JUSTICE by BRENDA JACKSON, I could easily see the complications of love. However, the blissful love given and received from one another is worth all the misunderstandings. Peyton and Angelo also show the beauty of intimacy. When two people harmonize like a symphony it is a fairy tale come true. It is like a treasure chest filled with enough pleasure to last until their lives end. brendajackson

Courting Justice
I agree that some of the lines are from previous books from the past I did pick that up, but that happens with all authors that has as many novels as BJ has not an excuse just an observation that I've picked up from reading many different authors not just romance.I did enjoy this book I Liked Angelo character "maybe the speaking Italian helped a little". Peyton that's a different story she got to the point that she was getting to me how much does someone have to show you or do for you to let you see that they are different? Angelo could have been stronger in alot of ways exspecially when it came to taking her back that surely was tooo quick. First on her part how many times does someone need to say the words and show you the actions and you still doubt them really, Best friends tell you, love ones that have known you all your life tell you, still not enough, really!!!!! In walks the man to show you some more, still not enough really, I think that's what did it with this story she got on people nerves she got on mine. But overall I did like the book, it's just my opinion I love the Madaris series and look forward to the next book, who ever it maybe. What get's me is if you don't like the book, give your review, I don't think it's right or fair to tell other people what to do with their money, just like no one told you what to do with yours, it's not fair to the author or to the reader to put the story down and then tell someone not to buy it.That to me just isn't right. That's just how I feel if others feel different so be it, what if it were you no one is perfect, no book is perfect, and not everyone is going to like every story so just write an honest review like it! hate it! talk about the story and leave the rest up to the person reading the review.

This author always fascinates and entertains me with her talented writing! I have read, "Bachelors in Demand" "Forged of Steele" and a number of other single books. But, this book had me hooked at the first chapter! This is an amazing story idea and the author brought her best.

A good read.
The premise was great, DeAngelo’s characterisation was definitely well thought out and really sold a fantasy. But again, I feel Mrs Jackson lost me with Peyton’s character. I get that people have insecurities but I feel like if you’re going to centre the story around it, at least make it valid. Found her character really frustrating, and maybe that was the point but at times it really put a downer on the story for me.

Another great book!!!!!
I gave this book five stars as it has been a pleasure to read. The story line was not predictable as with previous books by Brenda Jackson. This book had twists and turns which kept me interested and intrigued. Another fabulous book. It deserves all five stars.

Great story line!
I really like Brenda Jackson's books, but I'd like the Madaris younger generation to have more complex story lines. However this was much better than recent her books I've read!
