Instructions near useless. At first, I was disappointed. Have now used 4 times, latest smoking a 10# prime rib roast. Aah, perfection ( at least my guests said so ! ) "Beeper" alert too soft, can't find a way to increase volume ( I'm an old man, so may be my age is showing.)I wrote a worse review earlier ... and was surprised at a prompt response from the Seller, wanting to make me happy. Ergo, a good Seller.

Can not program in your own "done" temp. Otherwise ok.

I was pleasantly surprised by this thermometer using for the first time. You do need to keep the instructions handy, as its not easy to figure out without them. The temperature was accurate when cross checked with another thermometer. Screen a bit dim, but for the price, its a great buy.

This product does work as a thermometer just fine but the first time using it, I pushed the top button which activates the blue backlit screen and the button broke. It continued working as a thermometer for all my cooking but the back screen light button was broken after pushing it once.

Wireless for a very low price.

Disappointing. The display is very faint, hard to read. I have an accurate thermometer ( Not wireless) and it reads as much as 10 degrees higher than this one. Sometimes the sending unit does not send. Thought wireless was a good idea, now not so sure..

works well, arrived quickly

Bought this to cook a thanksgiving turkey. Put in the batteries and turned on the transmitter and monitor and the monitor didn't work. I wiggled the batteries around and finally got it to work. The current temperature on the monitor reads as three dashes. So tomorrow's thanksgiving turkey will be checked for doneness through the wild guess method. Do not buy this unit.Follow up: I received an email from Cuccot apologizing for my inconvenience and asking me to submit a photo of the screen and if they could figure out what happened then they would send me a replacement unit. I submitted a photo as instructed and did not get any feedback from Cuccot. I got tired of waiting so I sent the unit back to Amazon and received a refund via my Amazon account. Amazon gets an A+ and Cuccot gets an F.
