Not worth the money!
This product was way overpriced for the quality. Should be priced more at $40 if you just want something temporary for a few days then it would suit that purpose but nothing long term. Its very flimsy and does not secure tightly in your sliding glass door. Leaves cracks for bugs to get through and if a dog jumped on it like part of a door it would buckle and come apart at the Velcro fasteners. The bottom half kept coming disconnected from the Velcro fasteners when I picked it up to put in the door. Had to return it and order another brand made of better quality that was sturdy.

Four Stars
I just wished it was more sturdier.

the dogs love their new freedom and I have peace of mind!
UPDATE: Balcony Pets has made an upgrade to the product with a sturdier bottom and they give you a door lock to secure sliding door!! Customers who have the old version can contact the company directly and get the 1 bottom panel replaced and a lock for no charge!!! I just got mine and it is great! A vast improvement, the bottom panel is much sturdier and I feel more secure that the patio door can be locked now!!!I was really excited for this to come back in stock! I signed up for a notification but I never got one that I can recall. I just happened to check and ordered it as fast as I could! We have a porch potty so I really wanted this so they could access it and just get some fresh air while we are away.First, I will start with assembly...I struggled with the length adjustment. I'm too short to measure the door frame and my tape only went to 75"! So I suggest two people if you got a friend. I was constantly up and down, up and down readjusting. I marked it with tape for easy reference when I have to take it apart.Install:Pretty lightweight so easy lift but sturdier than it looks at the top at least. I agree with the other reviewer who said it is flimsy at the bottom. You can't lock the door with it in place & our alarm system can't be set with up. Safety is a concern but we live above the ground floor besides if anyone did break in my dog would eat them alive so...Also there are gaps where air can escape because our alarm system sensor on the door frame.Use:Our dogs used it right away because we had a real dog door at our last place so they are used to it. I was worried they would be scared to use this one because it seemed flimsy and that would prevent them from using it. I expected it to come crashing down when they went through but it held up very well.Overall:I'm very happy that it is not permanent so perfect for renters! The cost is the same as a permanent one from Home Depot but if you rent this is the way to go. I can take my dogs to work most days so this gives me peace of mind when I can't and saves me the gas money of driving home at lunch or hiring a dog walker. I read they are developing a lock so the door will stay in place when you open the door. Hopefully the cost isn't too outrageous. They should include with the door since you would need it to use the sliding door.

High price, low quality
Very overpriced considering it is priced similarly to all other sliding door pet doors but significantly lower quality. What the product page fails to mention (but the included instructions specify) is that if your sliding door does not have top, bottom, AND side tracks (which is unusual) it will be difficult to get this door to stand on its own. Because the assembly requires the pieces to overlap, it is not a fixed width at all points. As such, it was not able to fit into the 'side track' of my sliding glass door because the door lock was located where two of the pieces overlapped and thus the pet door was too wide. And, since I do not have a 'top track' the top assembled piece had nothing to keep it in place. Also the overlapping pieces meant that the weatherstripping was not aligned properly in all places so there were gaps between my door and the pet door. Furthermore, the weatherstripping is not secured to the product in any way and kept falling off. The pet flap itself has a gap around all edges which easily let air in and the flap would move with enough wind. This product does win for portability and ease of assembly but it's not worth it when you can get a solidly built door from another company for the same price. In addition, something similar to this could easily be built (and with a better, sturdier fit) for $50 or less if you're willing to put in the time.

An OK option if nothing else will fit your door.
I got this because my sliding door is smaller than most and this was the only kind that would fit it. It's easy to put together and goes in the door OK. The downside is that is the fit isn't great and it's hard to avoid a lot of draft around the door. Fortunately my screen door goes to an enclosed porch so it's not as big an issue for me, but if you have this going to an outside door in a cold climate, it might not work for you. Also there is no way hook the flap up so your animal has to get past the psychological barrier of having to go through the flap and have it scrape across them. That was an issue for my cats. They eventually got over it but I had to tape it up for a while until they got comfortable with it. Overall, this is a cheap option that works OK, especially in warm climates or if you are using it in the summer. It's also easy to take apart and put together so you can take with you if you move.

Big disappointment - Not at all as advertised
I received this item today, and it is already prepared for return to Amazon.Reasons for return:This door consists of 3 parts, getting connected by industrial size Velcro. This means the parts overlap on the sides and ergo the rubber insulation doesn't build a straight line. This makes it impossible to achieve an acceptable seal between the sliding door and this pet door. My husband and I tried for over an hour to get this door to fit, not perfectly but at least acceptable. We finally packed it back up and initiated the return. The idea behind this modular door is good, but definitely needs some major improvements, i.e. straight-lining the long sides, for proper alignment.I would not recommend this pet door.It is not significantly cheaper than classic pet door insets, and definitely lacks the quality of those. We will go with classic, and get us one of the classic insets.

Excellent Product!
I thought this was a great pet door and easy to install. Unfortunately, my cat did not like it and as hard and as long as we tried, she refused to use it. Thus I returned it.
