2nd use and a year later it broke
This expensive product worked great the first time I used it. It looks well made and when it works, it works well. The 2nd time I used it it seized up and that was the end of that. The warranty expired last month. You may need one, you may want one really bad. You may want to ignore the bad reviews and give it a try anyway. A word to the wise --DON'T!

If I had found this first...
But I didn't find it first so I bought a breaker bar (long handled 1/2" socket wrench - does not ratchet). There are plenty for under twenty bucks but mine was under fifteen bucks. A good idea added to a small twenty dollar compressor. Who really wants to change a tire if you don't have to. Just get it to a tire store.

nice to have when you need it.
No need to strain to remove a tight lug nut with this baby. I have used it several times and have one in each of my vehicles.

Works perfectly
I have used this wrench to remove lug nuts that were tight as can be; and it worked great! This product is so easy to use, a chimpanzee could be taught to remove your tire by using it.However, use common sense: do not wait until you get a flat on a dark road in the pouring rain to use it for the first time.Try it out in your garage before you throw it into your trunk.I see that reviewers have complained that the thing snaps and breaks. I can see a reason for this. It is not difficult to crank the lug nut tighter instead of looser by mistake. You must crank in the correct direction. This device can generate an unbelievable amount of torque. If you mistakenly torque a lug nut tighter - one that you are trying to remove - then yes, the wrench may snap (and that's a GOOD thing! Better to snap the wrench than the lug bolt on your wheel!). It is not especially easy to see the on/off direction arrows, especially at night. Because of the gears, if you are trying to remove a nut, you have to crank in the opposite direction compared to using a normal 4-way lug wrench (the iron "plus sign" shaped lug net wrench) - this is quite anti-intuitive. Again, try it out before using it for your first flat tire.I have come up with a GREAT idea. After several months, I decided to make sure I knew how to use this device, so I again read the instructions and tried it out on my cars. Yes, the instructions are simple, but I still had to read them over again - something I would not care to do if I had a flat at night in the pouring rain. In addition, since this product is designed for multiple purposes (car, boat, truck), you have to ignore instructions and hardware parts that you don't need. So - when you buy this device, simply fully assemble it, leave it assembled, and throw it in your trunk. It is quite compact. Now, theoretically, 98% of all users could throw the case and instructions away (but nobody will as we are all pack rats). The following caution applies DOUBLE to this device!I have decided to add the following to all my reviews:Beware! Some "reviewers" will trash a product for no reason simply because they sell competitive products or are paid to do so. Other "reviewers" will give products - that they have never seen and never used - glowing 5 star ratings - for a fee. Some honest reviewers do not understand what a product is for or how to use it and will trash a product simply because they are just plain dumb.

EZ--Lug wrench review
The "leverage socket screw knob" has a design flaw, at least, when use with the extensions and on truck lugs. The bolt that is evidently spot welded into the knob breaks out. In our case there was rust between the bolt surface and the knob surface however we re-welded it and the bolt itself broke. This is because the loosness of the set up that puts the wrench in a bind with all the pressure being transfered to the knob. We cut down and ground down the sides of another extension and made a part that allows us to use it.

Unique, Useful Tool
I purchased this as a christmas present for my Dad. He has had shoulder surgery and I thought this would be helpful if he needed to change a tire. It looks like it would work very well and my Dad really liked it.

Poor Design
This product has many parts that are too light weight or thin to work properly. The first time i tryed to use the gear wrench the socket that fit over the lug nut to hold the torque bent and slipped off the lug nut. The wrench did not loosen the lug nut before slipping off.

Good tool
It does what it was made for, works great. Had to change a tire on highway the that the regular lug wrench could not break the lug nuts. The L-202E EZ lugnut wrench broke them loose with no problem
