Lightweight and the grips are comfortable.

I've been using these for about a week and I like then a lot. At around 6oz each (once I removed the wrist straps), with good length adjustment latches they do the job very well. I considered the Black Diamond Ergo Cork Carbon poles (and I would like the ergonomic grips) but at less than 2/3 the price and about 2/3 the weight I decided to try these. Very happy with them.The latches are not too heavy duty so I'll be a bit cautious but they seem to hold very well. There is no anti-shock mechanism but there doesn't seem to be much need.I'll add to this as I get more experience with them, but as of now I'd get these again in a heart beat.

I literally used them for a hike of 8.53 miles ( distance measure in a Polar V800 ) and the metal tips broke.

These poles were great! I climbed into the crater of Mount Saint Helens in August. Part of the way up I began to get quad cramps. I pulled out and adjusted my poles and they were a life saver. I weigh around 240 pounds and was carrying a 30 pound pack. With the help of my poles I was able to fight through and complete my climb up, into the crater, and back out again. Worth every dollar!

As a small female I'm always skeptical that I'll find a piece of gear that feels tailor made for me and all the hiking I do. These poles fit the bill. Super lightweight with extra comfortable grips. Easy to adjust to appropriate height and they feel solid and steady throughout long pacific northwest hikes over varied terrain and muddy trails. Appreciate the storage bag and extra baskets especially for someone prone to losing accessories. All in all, a terrific pair of poles for a terrific price.

I do a lot of hiking and I’ve tried aluminum models and other carbon fiber brands. These come up on top. They’e light as a feather and the quality is so good there’s no need for an anti-shock gimmick. I’m getting another pair for my partner!

Bought these for hiking in MT. They held up well. It is easy to adjust the height. Very light weight. They fit crosswise in my checked luggage. The rubber tips came off right away but I haven't missed them yet. I would use them only if you know you won't be going through any muddy patches.
