I had seen someone on TV wearing earrings similar to these and I really liked the look, so I came to Amazon to hunt a pair down. These are not exactly the same, but close enough. I liked them so much that I bought a second pair to give as a birthday gift to a friend. She loves them. They are not too heavy; will not pull too much on your piercings. Can be worn for both dressy and casual occasions. I sometimes have metal sensitivity with my earlobes; wore these all day and evening, no reaction.
