Perfect for my elderly mother who has beginning dementia
I purchased both books in this set for my elderly mother who suffers from dementia. She was doing word search books from the dollar store but was getting tired of them. These books have a variety of simple activities designed for those with varying levels of dementia. When I first opened it and looked inside, I was thinking it looked really juvenile. But it is perfect for her. She has been doing the puzzles and to my surprise, has asked me for a box of crayons so that she can color the pictures, too! I am hoping they will come out with more of these books.

bought for my mom
I got this one for my mom who is 83 and sent a copy to my dad with dementia. The nurses in his home say its an excellent product and try to have him do a puzzle a day. Its mostly just whats the difference in the puzzles but its nice older pictures from a seniors time. I even like it and im not a senior yet and far from it.

Recommend this for seniors.
Good for people in their 70's. My husband has Parkinson's and I wanted something mind stimulating for him that was a bit of a challenge but not overwhelming. This seems to fit the bill. He enjoys the variety of exercises/ puzzles and has continued to use the book every evening. I even bought the next edition for him.

Good for dementia sufferers, perhaps
This book advertises itself as puzzles geared toward Senior Citizens' interests. It said nothing about them being so simple-minded that young children could solve them with ease. The people in my programs are seniors, but they are active, aware seniors, who would be bored to tears with these puzzles. For people with Alzheimer's, dementia, etc., they may well be of value, but otherwise, skip this.

A bit too elementary.
Concept good but actual product is a bit too elementary. Comes across as a cheap version of a terrific idea for seniors to use their minds. Being the greatest generation I think they deserve a much more professional book.

Great book for the most part
These are good books for someone with dementia, however, for Mom most of the puzzles were easy. What I didn't like is the book is too small for the price, needs to be a bigger book with more puzzles.

Good for older adults
I use this as "homework" or in-between activities for my day program for older adults. Could be use for mentally impaired adults as well.

Very American
The publication is very American and repetitive. It is not really value for money. However, there is little else on the market of its type.

Limited interest
Alzheimers patient - looked at this two or three times and lost interest. Not unusual - so would recommend it for a short-lived gift.

they are excellent to build confidence
these are simple, but with a mild cognitive loss, they are excellent to build confidence. If your senior scores 20 -23 on a MOCA this is for them

Thin, 48 page low quality paperback puzzle-book was very expensive for what you get for $15!

One Star
A total waste of money and an insult to seniors.
