1st one lasted 3 years, heating element failed in just under a year on the 2nd one.

Great Coffeemaker!
I love this coffeemaker. It takes about ten minutes to perk 10 very hot, flavorful, and smooth cups of coffee. The taste is the same day after day and beats any drip coffee maker that I have ever used. Excellent price well worth the money.

better than a drip coffee maker
makes a "hot" cup of coffee, unlike drip coffee makers. also keeps coffee hot longer. not the easiest to clean, but not difficult either. You should use a paper filter with this: as you should with any coffee maker.

NO POWER CORD
I can't really say anything about how it works because it came WITHOUT A POWER CORD.

Makes a great cup of coffee every time
Coffee is the beginning of my day, and a great way to start it is with my Presto Percolator coffee pot. I'm not kidding, it is rich without being overpowering, and strains the grounds really well. The ratio of water to grounds is perfectly balanced each time. I converted from drip coffee pot and mini espresso makers to this one.
