and the accuracy of this gauge is about the best that can be obtained in a reasonably priced gauge
I purchased this gauge because it is entirely mechanical; when I need it, it won't have a dead battery in it. Also, it covers normal tire pressures and up to 60 psi, the necessary pressure for small section spare tires supplied on a lot of cars. Accuracy is important, and the accuracy of this gauge is about the best that can be obtained in a reasonably priced gauge. I have no way of checking it's absolute accuracy, but all of my other gauges (tire, compressor, air regulator) read within +/- 2 psi of this one so think this represents the most accurate gauge I have. Pressure reading is quick, crisp, and appears to have very little hysteresis in the mechanism. The hold and release valve is flawless and very convenient for measuring pressures where the gauge face is not all that visible. The soft rubber exterior makes holding and handling the gauge extremely easy.By Hobby Job, Prunella's husband

Good -- has its pros and cons compared to a digital gauge
I had a digital gauge for over 10 years. This is my new toy as a replacement. I thought I would miss reading values past the decimal point on a digital gauge. After some use, I realize that I do prefer a digital for its precision but only to a modest degree. The tradeoff in favor of this analog gauge is that it is easier to interpret when deciding whether the pressure is under or over. My mind does not have to do any math (compared to a digital gauge) to know where a needle is compared to my target. The clarity to read this gauge is exceptional with a certain trade off at night. I'd recommend to have a flashlight on hand. The ease of use to put this on and take it off the tire stem is far better compared to the short-stubbed digital gauge.

Found what I was looking for
Worked as a car mechanic for years and learned to appreciate good tools, have gone through a score of tire gauges thru those years, the pencil type were used for just close checks but never trusted, even the high dollar ones. Went thru lots of digital, they were novel but usually had dead batteries or broke easy, Twenty five years ago I got a dial gauge that took me thru several hobby cars, trucks and ATV's, dropped it one too many times a couple years back and tried to get by with pencil gauges nope, I need a reliable dial gauge and I found one, yours. Well made a breeze to use and ideal for my shop use.

Not Accurate
While this tire pressure gauge looks and feels like quality construction, it fails where you need it most. Accuracy. I compared it to two other tire gauges I have and it's off by about 10%. As an example, when testing a tire at 38lbs, this gauge shows 35lbs.

Very nice looking, but what about accuracy?
The gauge is very nice and seems sturdy. It is also very responsive and easy to read. The only thing I can't state is its accuracy. It always shows 4 to 5 psi lower than my other 2 pencil style gauges. How can I check if it is measuring right? Therbia?

Seemed to be fairly nice as it held the air reading until you press ...
Purchased this s few months ago. Seemed to be fairly nice as it held the air reading until you press the release valve. Just went to use it today and it will not hold the air reading at all. Acts as if I have the release valve open once removed from a tire schrader valve. Could use some manufactures support as to here to send in for repair or replacement. May not be worth the postage to mail it in.

Easy to Use and Accurate in All Temps.
Easy to hold, easy to read, easy to use. Accurate in sub-zero temps here in WI as well as hot. Rubber surround should prevent damage if dropped on its edge. Might be a bit bulky for small glove compartments but nice for bench top. I like it a lot. I especially like not needing a battery like the digital gauges require. Nice tire pressure gauge. Good price. Highly recommended.

It's reliable, and effective. What more do you want?
Does the trick. A lot of cheap tire pressure gauges are fairly unreliable: either they're inconsistent, or just too finnicky. I've not had that issue with this one. Reports constantly, reports accurately, and it's very clear and easy to read. Helped me figure out why my car was handling odd too: one of my tires was a solid 5psi higher than its counterpart. No complaints.
