Nitecore MT10C 920 Lumen Multitask Tactical Flashlight with Red Light, LumenTac Organizer

Buying this flashlight I was comparing it to Nitecore EC11 - a smaller and more expensive flashlight. I went to B&H to see EC11 and found that it was too small for me. So, I bought this one - MT10C. After one week of use I like it. I use it for walking my dog in the dark, in house and in my car. What I like about it: 1. It has many modes and it is easy to switch between them. You can easily select any mode, good logic behind switching. 2. It is well-made and it is weather-proof. 3. It allows to see remaining charge of the battery - this is really important for me if I take with me for a trip. 3. It can use two types of batteries - CR123 and rechargeable from Nitecore. CR123 are available at Target and Bestbuy. 4. Nice red light and flashing red light. What I do not like: 1. Just one thing, and this may be my personal - I do not like that first level is 1 Lumen and the next one is 70 limens. I would like to have something in between. Say, 30 limens... What I do not understand about it: The manual says that in Turbo mode the brightness of this flashlight with rechargeable Nitecore battery is 920 lumens and with CR123 battery - 450 lumens. I did some tests and I did not notice any difference. Maybe this is just something wrong with this particular flashlight that I have. Do not know. I was comparing its brightness to brightness of my other Nitecore flashlight - the EC41, which I love. UPDATE: I have this flashlight for several months now and I still like it. I still do not like the gap between 1 Lumen and 70 Lumens modes. I wish it would have a 35 Lumens mode in between. Nevertheless, I bought second flashlight like this as a gift. I did more testing and found that indeed the output light is lower if CR123 battery is used. IMPORTANT: I observed one strange phenomenon with this flashlight that I want to share with you. THIS FLASHLIGHT IS VERY SENSITIVE TO LOW TEMPERATURES. On several occasions I exposed this flashlight to freezing temperatures (-8oC to -10oC) whi.e walking my dog. After 8 minutes several modes start to change - light becomes dimmer. Interestingly, red light modes do not change and 1 Lumen mode stays the same - I did not notice any changes in light output. However, the 70 and 180 Lumen modes are affected very significantly - actually, after 20 minutes of exposure they do not produce any light at all! Brighter modes do produce bright light, but it seems dimmer than usually. This is true for both types of batteries - CR123 and the rechargeable one.. Once the flashlight warms up, everything comes back to normal. So be aware - this flashlight becomes unreliable at freezing temperatures.

Great little light. My favorite feature is the very low lumen red light! Most brands don't have one this low. I find it extremely useful while sleeping in a tent with other people as it doesn't wake them up. I find that even brighter red lumen lights can shock your eyes after sleeping for awhile. It is also good in a small plane or airliner!

The MT10C is an excellent EDC flashlight. Small, light and powerful with a good feature set (red light mode, etc.). It replaced a much longer and heavier18650-powered flashlight that was long enough to damage pockets it was clipped into. The only trade-off is the shorter runtime due to the smaller 18350 battery, but that is fine for my needs. Highly recommended.

I've had my MT10C light for over 9 months. It's been in my right front pocket next to my wallet the entire time. I generally use the 70 lumen setting as it's enough light for most purposes. Being able to easily crank up the output if required is one of the great features. I do use the red led option at night around the house. We got a puppy this Spring and while she was being housebroken there were accidents. Red gave me the ability to see where I was stepping without disturbing others. The ability to use the light itself to tell me how much power it left in the battery is comforting as well. The only drawback I've found is that there isn't any good battery cases that will handle a single 18350 battery as I like to have a spare on me. Currently I'm dealing with the extra bulk of a County Comm 18650 battery case to hold an 18350 plus a CR123 battery as well as that plastic sleeve which is supposed to reduce the rattling when you're using a CR123. I picked up a charger as well so I've got 3 cells in rotation, 1 in the light, 1 in the holder in my pocket and 1 on my nightstand. I'd have been fine with 2 cells but the other charger came with 2 so I wasn't complaining (great deal). While camping last month I did use the light to settle down some kids (junior high to high school age) who were running down the road at the campground at night. 70 lumens was enough to stop them in their tracks as they didn't realize that we (my girlfriend, puppy and myself) were walking on the road ahead of them in the dark. I know that a higher output would have been better but I wanted light RIGHT NOW. It was easy to pull it out of my pocket and hit the switch. Yes, for what's currently out there I consider this to be my perfect EDC light.

This is a great small torch with good power and a red 'night light' option to preserve night vision. It has a wide beam cast for the red light. It is compact (1" thick at the head and 3.6" long) and carries a lot of light power (920 lumen) within the light and compact package. It provides 5 levels of brightness for the white LED and 2 states for the red LED.

Lost my first one, but liked it so much I bought another.

I had another very expensive pocket light from a well-known manufacturer. It kept getting misplaced and then found again. During the last absence, I purchased this Nitecore MC10C. Although the other light reappeared, I like carrying this one. The pocket clip is more secure than the expensive light, and I don't have as much to lose if this one disappears. Also, the red light for preserving night vision is a huge plus! My expensive light did not have that feature.

Great EDC light. on max setting, it is devastatingly bright. the The clip is reversible, so it could be easily clipped on the bill of a hat. The only problem, the clip in the middle, so it leaves the light half in, half out of a pocket, but the clip grip is very firm. this little thing is so awesome for its price, still worthy of 5 stars. bottom line - this light will exceed your expectations. if it had a tailcap for a remote switch and a picatinny rail mount, it would be a superb weapon light, and then would excel at literally everything one would require this light to do. UPDATE 5-26-19: I have now lost this light 5 times. This 5th time, it has not been found. The clip on this light is horrible. It leaves half of this light out of your pocket, regardless of how it is clipped, or how tight the clip is, you will find it missing from your pocket. It catches EVERYTHING. This light needs a redesign to fix this, then it will be the perfect EDC all-purpose light. Until then, 3 stars.
