Alas, I can't give this book five stars as, in my book-soaked world, that is reserved for the books that truly make me feel something extraordinary - and this is, after all, essentially a legal text book! ;-) That said, 'How to Avoid a Fall From Grace' is an excellent resource for those requiring a comprehensive overview of directors' duties. Sarah has written in easy-to-understand, straightforward language and canvasses important topics such as directors' duties, financial reporting obligations, and personal liability. This is a resource I expect readers will return to often, whether to refresh their general understanding of their obligations, or with a specific question in mind.

A much needed and very useful resource. This book has proved to be an excellent investment, providing clear and concise guidance for all sorts of issues. It's hard to imagine a legal book being pleasant or simple to read, but this little volume manages both with ease whilst still being informative. It include some excellent case studies that are a timely warning, making this volume well worth reading even if you are not seeking answers to a particular question.

How to Avoid a Fall From Grace is an excellent resource for new company directors, as well as those wanting a refresher on their potential personal liability. Also a great resource for lawyers - particularly those starting out in the area of company law - for whom the book will provide a wealth of practical tips and case studies to inform their advice. Sarah Bartholomeusz writes in a an easy to read, engaging style which differentiates this book from the majority of legal text books.

A great book for those moving into a company director position for the first time or looking at starting there own business. Sarah does an amazing job of breaking down what can be very complicated and confusing for those of us without a legal background into simple and understandable context. So if risk management and understanding your legal rights and obligations as a director is important, which it is then you MUST read this book.
