Ventline BVC0573-31 Frame with Removable Screen

My camper is about 10 years old and the roof vents are looking a bit disgusting. I needed to clean out the screens and the vents say "removable screen". That is absolutely true... you can remove them. I don't know if it is intended that you should be able to put them back though. When I removed my screens to clean them, the retaining tabs all broke. So... then I was hoping I could find replacements without having to buy the whole vent system. I didn't have much information to go on. I know the sizes of the vent, the screen, etc. But I wasn't sure the size that I have would still be sold. I had a company name and a couple of part numbers VD0433 and VD0434. When I did a google search, I found these. But they didn't claim to match the vents that I have, and it wasn't clear the size I was measuring was the size reported on the description page. But... they came today. I installed them. They fit perfectly. These appear to be the exact same as the original... minus a bit of yellowing from age and what not. It took me all of 5 minutes to pull out the old ones and install the new ones. It's really simple actually. Just unscrew the ceiling flange, unclip two retainers.... poof. Then reverse the process for installation.

This is a review of: Ventline BVC0573-31 Frame with Removable Screen I ordered these 14” x 14” vents with removable screens to replace the damaged ones in my 2012 Keystone Hideout Travel Trailer. I replaced the one in the toilet area and also the one in the shower. I installed both of them myself. Installation is pretty straight forward. The screens are easily removed for cleaning. The outer perimeter is made of plastic. It is thin so care must be taken not to crack the plastic when installing. These fit my Keystone perfectly and are an exact match to the older ones. The right front corner has a cutout for the fan switch. Unlike other reviewers I do not have to remove the knob that raises and lowers the outside vent cover when removing the screens. I’ve had these almost 2 years and have removed and cleaned them multiple times. They are holding up well, but I am careful when removing and replacing the screens. I recommend this product. I replaced both the dome and screen because they became brittle & cracked from uv rays/sunlight. Also, replaced topside dome seal because of the same issue. Replacing the dome was a little tricky dealing with a steady wind. Center clip on the vent dome was tricky to re-clip, make sure the other hinges are aligned before attaching center clip. Replacing the screen was pretty straightforward, don’t rush through the process, consider replacing the garnish ring as mine had faded from sunlight. Very happy with the results, used a smoked vent dome hoping to cut down on uv rays plus get some room darkening aspect. Fit exactly as OEM parts. Very happy camper!

East to install. Fits perfect!! A question was cleaning the screen. Only wipe it. Screen cannot be removed unless you take the whole piece off
