Aqua Armor Fabric Waterproofing Spray for Patio & Awning, 16 Oz

My 20 year boat canvas was leaking very badly. I have tried several so-called water repellent and water proof products and none of them worked. One coat of this Aqua Armour stuff and the canvas is 100% water proof. Even with a puddle of water sitting in a pocket, the canvas is totally dry underneath. Amazing stuff. The only thing: the coverage per bottle does not go as far as the lable is indicating. That could be because my boat canopy sucked up quite a bit per sq.inch because it had no protection left. However, this stuff made it totally watertight again. I'll buy some more.

I bought many bottles of this waterproofing solution to keep some dining chairs clean, but this Trek waterproofing spray doesn't work. After three saturations of the fabric with the solution, water didn't bead on the surface, but went right through. It was a thorough waste of about $150. Use the 3M product which is much better.

Tried to waterproof a 6'X 6' awning made of Sunbrella. Used an entire 16 ounce bottle of Aqua Armor Waterproof Treatment for Patio and Awning with very disappointing results. Directions say to "spray until evenly wet overlapping spray areas." Then they say to "spray two thin treatments". I could barely get one coat on with a 16 oz bottle. My hand got very tired of pump spraying - had to switch hands several times. Why not have an aerosol can? I applied and let dry in direct hot sunlight as the directions said to do. First rain came several days later. The whole awning still leaks everywhere. The bottle says it will treat 80 square feet of fabric. I could barely coat 36 square feet one time much less two. I would not purchase this product again.

I just applied product to my outdoor cushions so have not had opportunity to see if it works. Can say application was easy.
