Weissella Gingerbread Cookies 200g by Weiss

We get a few packs of these cookies every year for Christmas and I look forward to them all year long. They make a wonderful treat to have with your morning coffee, but be warned. These are German cookies and nowhere near as sweet as cookies or gingerbread in America. We love that, but some relatives have complained that they aren't sweet enough.

Our family has always loved liebkuken and other European gingerbread cookies for Christmas. Usually buy a different brand but also drive the 30 miles to the store that stocks them. Not buying them through the web anymore. They were not fresh and a huge disappointment. That said this brands flavor was as good as the brand we usually buy.

I Iived in Germany for six years in the 90s. And these cookies arrived fresh and delicious. Same taste as I remember in Germany. The cookies look stale, but looks are deceiving, I thought the same thing for about three in Germany before I purchased some. Somewhat expensive but they weren't cheap overseas either.

Very good Lebkuchen, not as sweet as Bahlsen. Can't beat it with a cup of Coffee or Tea.

It's not the same as what I have bought in Nuremberg. It's very dry and not enough nuts .

These cookies are smaller than the ones I have bought the past 2 years. Although the description says it's 200 grams, which is great if you live in a metric country, I couldn't tell they were small.

These cookies are delicious. I always have some on hand during the holidays but usually get them at Trader Joe's. I waited too long this year so had to order them online. I just don't understand the negative reviews other than the price, which is actually much less here than from other online stores like Vermont Country Store.

I'm glad I can only get these at Christmas because if I could I would order them all year and eat waaaay too many. They are delicious and came just as they were portrayed in a timely fashion.Thanks for the good service and for offering these delicious cookies.Linda
