This personal ball revivor is a modified version of a professional revivor machine. This unit can hold one bowling ball at a time and extracts oil from the ball by circulating heat evenly around the ball. By drawing out the oil with heat the ball is restored back to it's original condition. This product is a safe way to maintain your bowling ball and should be used about every 25-30 games, depending on the amount of oil your ball encounters.

Not that expensive if you have the need for regular oil extractions!
For the price, this is great. It is plug and go, unlike others that have temperature dials and such. This gets nice and warm without being too hot (it's been a while since I stuck my temp probe in while it was running, but I think it was around 140 degrees when I tested the temperature inside while using it the first time), and it extracts plenty of oil. I will say that there were one or two times when oil didn't come out of a ball when I thought it would, but this was the second or third time I used it, and I hadn't bowled many games with my reactive resin balls. Moral or the story is that just because you have it, doesn't mean you should use it all the time. :) I use it now ever 30-40 games, and I follow the directions and stop after two or three cycles, even if oil is still coming out. I'd gladly buy this again and don't regret my purchase one bit.

and I was very disappointed by its cheap quality
Any serious bowlers should buy this rejuvenator. I originally bought the nuball one, and I was very disappointed by its cheap quality. I personally dont understand why nuball is more popular than this one. The ball was not even heated above 90F and it obviously didnt get any oil out. I returned it and bought this right away. THIS IS A BEAST. This takes out so much oil out of my ball that my ball reacts like a new ball. The temperature of the top part gets heated up to 132F. The ball itself is heated up to around 120. Very safe to use. I highly recommend this.

USE CAREFULLY!!! This unit creates temperatures above 150 degrees (or at least mine did), which according to Brunswick Corp., can leach the plasticizers out of the coverstock of the ball. When I first used it I thought it ran awfully hot, so I put in a thermometer and tested it. When set according to the minimal instructions provided, it cycled up-and-down from 142 degrees up to 156. Adjusting the dial higher I actually made it produce almost 170 degrees! Don't they test these things? It is also clumsy to use. Reaching down into it to manipulate (or remove) a hot, oily bowling ball is scary. Cleaning out the unit is clumsy, too.It does heat the ball, but I wish I had spent the extra $80 to get the one my friend has. This was not a bargain!

Works great
Just received mine today. Works great. Opating temperature is 134 degrees. You have to be patient for ball to warm up. I tested on a new ball with ony a few games that had been cleaned and it brought oil to surface perfectly. I am very satisfied.
