Magic Wand, 12-14 Inch Wavy Shaft Ebony Wood

Overall, this is a pretty nice wand. The seller (OrchardWorks) was very patient and communicated with me via email during the creation process. They were very responsive to my feedback, even when I was a bit of a pain in their backside (my words, not theirs.) As requested, the wand has a very curvaceous, serpentine sort of shape (excellent for me as a sorcerer with an appreciation for ancient serpent-worship cultures such as the Celts) and the handle is fairly comfortable, considering they never met me in person and didn't have my hand to measure or anything. The price ($40 plus shipping) was also very good, since a similar custom job can easily go for $100 other places.However, I would like to make it known that this wand did not come out exactly to the specifications I gave them. I asked for a black wand (part of the reason for choosing Ebony) and this wand is black and brown, which I assume is the result of using part heartwood and part sapwood. That different parts of the tree were (apparently) used does not bother me - I'm not *that* picky - but they could probably have stained the brown parts black before polishing to ensure compliance with my requested specifications. To be fair, I did not ask them to do specifically that, but whereas I asked for it to be "black," I don't feel I should have had to. I will probably end-up sanding and staining it myself and am slightly frustrated with this being the situation. But I suppose I could have spoken-up about it when they were showing me preliminary images, and for this reason, if you place an order with OrchardWorks I would give you the advice to be very discerning and communicative. They are kind, skilful and diligent people and seem very interested in customer satisfaction.Generally speaking, this is a very nice wand. I can literally feel my power flowing strongly through it even as I just hold it in my hand. I'm sure it will be enjoyable and very effective to work-with when it is finished. I give it four out of five stars in total.

It looks cool and it is like my wand on potter more :D
