I purchased 2 other different Requintos that were MADE IN PARACHO MEXICO and they were horribly made and sounded bad
Let me say I am extremely impressed! I purchased 2 other different Requintos that were MADE IN PARACHO MEXICO and they were horribly made and sounded bad. Paracho used to make awesome guitars from what I read. I also did not like the big nut width at 2.2 or so inch width which is common on many Mexican made Requintos. So I did not know what to think when I ordered this beauty. And Iam happy I did. Here is what I did and here is how it sounds.1. Immediately ordered the Fishman 201 preamp for less than 20.00 and installed it. Very easy to install. This is an awesome preamp and tuner. I have a 40 watt amp.2. Put a BONE saddle on and lowered the action. The bone makes it sound so much better in my opinion.3. I put Daddario "LOW" tension strings on and boy does it sound good! I know on a little requinto or half size or mini guitar you should use high tension so they say but I have LOW tension on this guitar and on my Cordoba Mini and just blows all the myriads of other strings I have tried (my ear opinion of course) and so much easier on the fingers. I even have tried ulta high tension and these low tension sound better.... The solid spruce top really projects and sounds awesome. This is a awesome price for a solid top guitar.... The 17/8 inch nut width is so perfect for me. Much easier on the hands but not too narrow to make it hard to get a good finger press. Just perfect.... The natural finish also makes the guitar sound better in my opinion. No sound deadening glossy polyurethane here! The reason I bought the non electric one here and added my on Fishman Preamp is because the amp as I mentioned was less than 20.00. So I save over 75.00 over buying the electric Lucida RQ2. Which is about $229 or so on Amazon. Finally, just the overall quality was really good. So I must say you will not be unhappy if you purchase this. :)

It will get the Job done
There’s not too many options on where to find a quality Requinto. With that being said, this instrument will get the job done; however, it is way overpriced based on its feeling and quality materials. You can probably find a manufacturer to build you own Requinto for the same price (or close enough), and it will have a better feeling overall. If you decide to buy this product, you will be able to practice and do Serenatas, but if you are a professional, you might want to consider other options.

LUCIDA LG-RQ2 REQUINTO Classical Nylon String Guitar review.
The Lucia LG-RQ2 is a Very well build and good looking guitar, It sounds Very Good actually, however its only downside is the size, It is a 1/2 scale guitar and NOT a 3/4 as some have advertised, so the fretboard is very cramped and would take a lot of getting used to.I would only recommend it for someone with small hands, and who does not switch between playing this and a full size, Otherwise it is an Excellent Choice !! And you will not regret your purchase. The one I bought has some minor finish flaws on the soundboard, and also a tiny wood knot on each side. If not for this the guitar would be perfect and I would probably have kept it.

First of all and again great fast delivery and on time
First of all and again great fast delivery and on time. The Prime membership shipping discount are fabulous. But let me tell you about the Requinto, what a piece of Art. This side of Guitar was created by a puertorrican when he was part of the Trio Los Panchos with two other Mexicans. I grew up watching playing this type of guitar. I always wanted to have one. The sound kta beautiful. The bass are higher than the Classical guitar, something I will get use it. Can hardly wait to hear it connected to a mic. Beautiful wood finish and texture. I will recommend it.

Gem of a small-sized guitar!
If you play guitar or guitarele or ukulele it's likely you will LOVE this instrument. Despite it being a "requinto," I just play it as a small classical guitar and does it deliver! Great action; excellent intonation; amazing tonal saturation. You will NOT be disappointed with this instrument IF you understand what you are buying. For me, this is a gem and I highly recommend it!
