The fabric is woven by Japanese traditional uneven weave "Gara-boseki" technique. Gently engages with skin, making close contact with skin's tiny folds and creases - resulting in remarkable cleansing power, while using less or no soap. Same exact design since 1875. Pioneered in Nagano region of central Japan during the reign of Emperor Meiji.
