T2 Standard Tripod Microphone Stand

I was very skeptical in paying this much money for a mic stand but when I received it, I was rather impressed. Triad-Orbit stands are much heavier than your average stands. The build quality and engineering are superior to anything that I have ever used in the studio and for live performing. The adjustable base is an ingenius space saver. You can make very slight and incremental height adjustments that allow you to stack several tripod based stands. I can use this mic stand right on top of my music stand which stabilizes it and reduces floor clutter. The extra heft and mass of this stand guarantee maximum stability when using large diaphram condensor mics. It would take a drunk elephant to knock this this stand over. The most impressive quality that Triad-Orbit stands deliver is the Quick Change adapters that allow you to change out microphones and other accessories with a simple pull on a slip collar. The connection is very strong and rugged but removes that annoying hassle of unscrewing and removing the microphone, clip or shockmount. I am really surprised that someone has not previously invented something like this. The only downside is the cost but you quickly get over that once you realize how this stand out performs all of the others. I will also mention that I purchased several other Triad-Orbit booms and accessories with this stand. From here on out all of my stand purchases and accessories will be Triad-Orbit. Like everything else in the music equipment world, once you are spoiled with the best you don't want to use anything else!

best constructed stand I've ever seen. A bit heavy, but no motion even in very loud environments. Adjustments are like butter, especially when coupled to matching tilt mount.

This is a tripod stand that is also really heavy. The legs can be locked into a wide range of positions for optimum microphone placement. The height clutch and rubber grip are super- solid, and slip- proof. Triad Orbit has come to market with products that have finally brought serious microphone support for portable use. About time!

Super stable, sleek and easy to adjust. I love the quick connects and the twistable adjusters. This is a heavy and fairly expensive stand - money well spent though, because I have absolute confidence in it.

This stand will last a lifetime. With the addition of the Triad-Orbit boom, it is the cure for Droopy Boom Syndrome. Will supportyour heaviest condenser mic steadfastly in maximum extension. You don't have to crank the clutch for your mic to stay put. Wellworth the investment. When I think of all the booms that I have bought since I started recording and then discarded because theyfailed, the Triad-Orbit is a bargain. If I could give it six stars, I would.
