Could be better
Okay. Snaps feel kind of flimsy though. Not as heavy as the Rome 2664 Belly Tiffin. Would not buy it if I had to pay full price.

Happy Tiffin used to make good tiffins. Don't expect much these days...
I bought one of these Bistro tiffins a while ago after having a good experience with a couple other tiffins from Happy Tiffin. After about a year of use, the top tier of the tiffin started to break around the edges until, after another 6 months, I couldn't even get the lid on the top (you can see the warpage and breakage in the attached pictures). I contacted customer support who curtly told me it wasn't their problem because it wasn't under warranty and that they don't sell replacement pieces. After some indignance on my part, they offered me a whopping 10% discount coupon code for their website. Because of my past experiences with their tiffins, and thought I'd try again, figuring the breaking was a fluke or something.Unfortunately, the next Bistro 2 tier tiffin I got was much worse. It only had two latches (instead of the pictured 3) and was made of thinner metal. The whole thing seemed flimsy. The original breakage was not a fluke but a trend. The new tiffin broke in the same ways after _less than a week_! I called the company and was summarily blamed for the breakage because I'd been "cooking" in it--re-heating food in my toaster oven in the tiffin. I sent them pictures at their request and was told again it was because I was "cooking" in the tiffin. No response to my concerns over the change in quality or to my questions about why they didn't tell me this before I went and spent $40 on a whole new (and worse) tiffin to have the same problem repeat. The extra sad part is that tiffins from Happy Tiffin used to be very good. I still have one I got over two years ago (a two-tier rounded one with a frame that the two bowls fit in) and it's still doing great, despite regular "cooking." You can still find people raving about them in comments and reviews all over. Some of the reviews even reference old pages (since taken down) on the Happy Tiffin website which talk about their high quality steel and even say that they're fine for re-heating or even range top use. Well--no longer, obviously. At this point, I consider all such satisfied reviews and comments out of date. The only thing that hasn't gotten worse, sadly, is their customer service: it's always been curt, unhelpful and blaming. It still is. While their product was great, I could let that slide. Now, not so much. While a year or two ago, I'd recommend this product heartily, all I can say now is it's no better than than any other tiffin lunch box you could find and it's at a higher price. Maybe you can find one that was made a few years ago? And even then, don't expect to get help from the company.

Two Stars
This tin bent and broke within the first week I bought it. I would not buy again.

Thin Stainless Steel and it's poorly made. It's matter of 'when', not 'if', it will fall apart,
Reviewing item/Product: 2 Tier Tiffin - Bistro 2 - Lunch Box - Large Size - 6 Inch Diameter - Stainless Steel - Perfect Tailgating Tiffin by Happy TiffinPros:• 2 tiers, so it’s easy to separate food for lunch or left overs. The lower (bottom) tier has deep pocket. This is good when I store left over food.• Food grade Stainless Steel• Easy to wash. Dishwasher safe.Cons:• Poorly made. One of latch doesn’t close without push down hard. It’s matter of when it will snap off. All attachment, i.e. handle, latches attached to the container and it is not screwed or riveted, rather it’s compression welded to the container. A couple of these pieces are already starting to lift.• This container is made with very thin Stainless Steel.About my review and disclaimer:When I purchase items from Amazon, which I do buy a lots of items from here, I rely on your reviews. So, I tried my best to describe my experience accurately and honestly as possible, so that you can also make decisions based on reviews that I wrote. The American bento
I had never seen one of these before, but it seems like a great idea. It's basically the bento box concept made into a stainless steel cylinder.I received one with three latches, and those latches make the whole thing feel solid. Additionally, I've tried to find some items to put into the tiffin, so you get some sense of the volume inside. It doesn't look big at all, but it really does have a large capacity - especially if your intention for the tiffin is for use as a lunchbox. The top segment has a volume of approx 3 cups, and the bottom segment is about twice that volume. The lid is called a plate by the product tag, although I'm not really sold on using it as such. There are braces that maintain the alignment between the two arms on each of the latches. Those braces don't really stay put on mine, but I've not seen any ill effects from their sliding up and down.Don't mistake this product for a soup thermos or some such. It's not insulated at all. It's only for carrying whatever it is you're carrying. It won't serve to keep it cold nor hot. Also, obviously, you should never put it in a microwave. At my workplace, they provide plates. So heating my lunches is accomplished by moving the pieces to be heated out of the tiffin and onto a plate before microwaving.Really, it's best for storing high-volume salads below and small containers of toppings/dressings in the top segment. That seems the perfect use for this particular piece.I received this tiffin at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have tried to relate to you the facts of my experience so that you can make an informed decision. If you have questions about this product or my review, please ask by posting a comment below.
