I've become a fan of mushroom superfoods, especially those containing lion's mane, reishi, and chaga. This one also includes turkey tail mushrooms, for a total of 2250mg of mushrooms per serving, which is unusually good. I went for the hot chocolate flavor which has 30 cal per serving, sweetened by monk fruit and coconut sugar. I was pleased to note that it appears to be tested and is Kosher certified as well. As always, I take a good sniff at these sorts of products, and while there was a little musky mushroom aroma, the cocoa outweighed it entirely. I generally like to augment my teas with this, making them chocolate-y, and this mixed into the hot water very well. A little sediment at the end of the mug, but not too much. I personally found this to be easy on my stomach and no difficulties with my digestion or GI as a result. It's certainly effective: When I have this daily, my stress levels and general focus seem better, and it's generally thought that this kind of mushroom is a superfood, in that it has significant health benefits. My only issue to some degree is that it's a little pricey for the cost, with 30 servings per 8.47 oz jar. Overall though, I like this drink mix.

The ingredients look great and it is a good value for the money. I like the thickening texture it gets. Unfortunately I think I've learned I don't like the particular sweeter used in it. It tastes much too sweet to me. I will use it in mixes to finish it up for the health benefits.

I never in a million years thought I'd be as in love with mushrooms as I've become :) I took a chance on a packet of this at my local health shop. I fell in love with it but was disgusted w/the price they were charging. $1.99 a packet and if you by 6 then you get 10% off (which really isn't great) the large container like this one that they carry. Costs about $35. So, I went to hunting. Only other place I could find this was Whole Foods which....are insane on costs as it is but... the mark up difference even from my health store was total insanity. For the packets they were $2.30 and the container like this was $39.00. So, I pulled up Amazon. Ok check...2 day delivery. And for this price!! How could I NOT order it lol... So now, there's that rant out of the way and many thanks to Amazon for offering this product at such an amazing price!! The taste is wonderful. I like drinking it of a morning. I haven't ever really been a coffee drinker. I drank it to help wake me up many years ago but always hated it and used way more sugar and creamer than I had of the coffee LOL but this, doesn't need anything. I just use a tbsp and my unsweetened almond milk and I'm good to go! I use about a cup/half of milk with the 1 tbsp of powder and it's perfect. This has become a morning ritual of mine and I hate it if I run out. It helps me function and my memory is absolutely a 100 times better as is my focus. I can make it through the day without forgetting what I'm supposed to be doing and have energy to do the things I need to do. The only complaint I have... is when I decide to do something. I try doing it all of the way. I've decided to start digging more into mushrooms for their healing properties and therefore that means finding the best and purest. Unfortunately that comes w/dropping many things like rice/oats/mycelium and natural flavors. Which I noticed, natural flavoring is used in this. I'd love to see them drop that and get rid of it as we all know, 'natural flavoring' has nothing to do with the flavor of anything that's natural. Otherwise, I think this is an amazing product and will continue to use until I find something that doesn't have the flavoring enhancer. Because I truly do love and adore this product!!!

I wanted to try this on the recommendation of a friend for the sake of researching mushroom/chocolate combinations. If you are going to write about something, it's best to try it first-hand when you can. This product makes a very nice hot chocolate. With water, it was a little harsh. You can taste the earthy notes of the mushrooms against the chocolate, but with chocolate being naturally bitter it isn't unpleasant. When milk/cream is added, it mellows out quite well. The problem with this blend came later on in the form of heartburn/acid production. I can't say if it is the mushrooms or the OTHER additive at the bottom of the list that is something wholly unfamiliar to our area. Whatever it is, everyone who tasted it reported an upset stomach later to some degree. Would recommend an antacid be taken in advance if you want to use this. Again, the flavor of the drink is good. Perhaps if we were drinking it regularly we'd become more adapted to it, but the first time was a little rough. Will be trying another variety with just the reishi as it is hard to isolate which item caused the difficulty with a multi-mushroom, chocolate, and other fruit/plant blend.
