Karigurashi No Arrietty Original Soundtrack

Here is the sound track for yet another great work of anime from Studio Ghibli. French musicians Cecile Corbel, and Simon Caby weave beautiful. lush Celtic soundscapes that underpin this anime of a hidden people and Arrietty's discovery the not all Humans are to be feared. Cécile Corbel's mastery of the Welsh harp is evident, her vocals are beautiful, soft and whispery. The music is what I call soft Celtic, smooth cording, luscious, Violins, Viola's, and Cello's, soft Celtic percussion, Irish flutes, blended with penny whistles. Track 6 Arrietty's Song - Instrumental Version sweeps you into a different world. When you watch "The Borrower Arrietty", or it's American Title "The Secret World of Arrietty" you will hear just how this soundtrack supports and uplifts this gorgeous anime from Studio Ghibli.

This soundtrack CD came in perfect condition. All of the songs are in English, except Arrietty's song, which was semi disappointing at first because I couldn't sing along, but actually I am learning to sing in in Japanese because I listen to it so much, which is really cool. Also, I'm pretty sure this is a Japanese product because the CD case opens backwards, just like manga's do. ^.^ All in all, great product!

I bought the soundtrack because my daughter and I kept singing the Neglected Garden. It's such a pretty song. We watched the movie several times, and the music just kept the mood with us all day. It's the most I ever paid for a cd, but it is worth it. My daughter is 11. She has had the same cd playing at bedtime for 7 years, but now she is alternating between this cd and her old favorite (Following the Circle). At her age, something that makes her happy for weeks on end is a blessing. My favorite track is Sho's Waltz.

Plat this in my Anime classes all the time, students love it! Beautifully done.

This soundtrack is not easy to find...leave it to AMAZON.COM to have it available. The music is dreamy and beautiful, relaxing and charming. I play it at home during the day, and find it stimulating and uplifting. Happy Music!

Absolutely love this anime (released in NA by Disney), and it seems a good part of that sentiment is because of this music - a happy marriage of celtic spirit with Japanese heart...a joyful lightness and strength comes through the undertones. Absolutely delightful, a joy to listen to, whether through a world-class audiophile system or an iPod tabletop docking player (strong base required). The recording is audiophile-grade, a fantastic soundtrack through and through.

この曲を聴きながら、リラックスできます。DVDを見てから、BGM用に購入しました。車の中やリラックスしながら聴いています。大好きです。

映画を見てるときも心地よさを感じていたのですが音楽によるところも大きかったようで買いましたほっとしたい時や寝る前とか癒されたいときに聴くと落ち着きますね☆映画ともマッチしていてとっても好きです森の中に妖精がいるような？まさにアリエッティ！

音がきれいなので、BGMに最適。あんな庭で聞いたらもっと癒されるだろうな。
