can this be used as a mouse pad or is it not the proper texture?

probably not, its very slick, but I did purchase a mouse pad (gaming pad) of a map on Amazon which fits under my entire keyboard and extends about 8 inches both sides. Its great. Search world map gaming pad.

The map says it is "shrink wraped on flat board"--does this mean it is more than just a laminated sheet? Please describe...

The 11x17 Time Zone, Area Code map is printed and encapsulated laminated. It is shipped shrink wrapped flat on recycled cardboard so that it arrives flat, with no damage. Larger maps are printed and encapsulated laminated, then rolled in a sturdy tube. The maps are never folded.

Where does it say the time zones? I see the color seperations but nothing that says central, mountain, pacific etc
