I knew right off the top that any lock that can be unlocked by a TSA Agent is not a 100% secure lock. However, when I purchased this lock besides using it for air travel on small bags; I was also looking for something that would lock my purse/duffel bag while I'm on the job. I work for a Preschool and I'm a very active teacher. I'm constantly out of the classroom with my students (nature walks, recess, music class, etc). Due to the limited amount of space in my room I have to hang my bag on a coat hook above the children items. Of course I always leave my wallet in my SUV trunk however, I still carry around personal items I do not want anyone to get their hands on. I do not trust some of the people at work so I needed an inconspicuous device that would at least deter someone from bothering it. The device is easy to use if you read the instructions. I was able to easily change my 3 digit code and so far I have not had any issues with it getting stuck or not recognizing my code. If you purchase this lock and find yourself having issues I recommend practicing how to lock and unlock the lock before you get to the airport or wherever else you need to go. I do recommend this lock. The price is reasonable and it looks and work the same (if not better) than a lot of other locks that are higher in price. I uploaded a photo so you may have some idea of how I used the lock. It blends in nice with my bag.***Update*** I'm really glad I purchased this lock. I had to leave my classroom for a meeting Friday so I had a teacher's aide step in to cover my class. When I walked back in the room the aide was in the corner texting and two of my older students were at my bag looking for my treats. If my bag was not locked then besides finding the treats; my students could have possibly reached deeper and found my Ibuprofen (I forgot to remove from my bag). I’ve had other locks similar to these, but I have to say that my favorite thing about these is the push button release on the top of the lock. It works so easily. Some of the others I have owned or seen were a little trickier to unlock, you would have to wiggle them into the right position to get them to open.I bought these locks to use while at the airport or in the hotel room so the casual or curious thief wouldn’t be tempted to take a look in my luggage if the opportunity presented itself. I’ve seen enough videos of hotel workers going through your stuff, and the things they do with your toothbrush …never mind.I like that it's a combination lock so I don't have to dig my keys out to get my bag open, or worry about losing the keys. I like the flexible cable for a little more freedom of movement going through automated luggage systems. The hard shackle can get caught and bend or worse, cause the bag to tear. If you are going to use a lock, it has to be TSA approved, meaning security can open it if necessary with a special tool they have, and they don’t have to cut it off of your bag.The locks themselves have weight to them and feel of good quality.These are great little locks. I'd buy them again.

I got these and went to Brazil.I left it in the hotel and someone had came by and snapped it right off. They luckily didn't steal anything, but don't expect it to protect anyone other than yourself.

I like the precision of this lock. Each number clicks into place so there's no having to adjust the position of the number to make sure it's centered. The only thing I didn't like is how thin the cable is. It's not even a cable--it's just a plastic coated wire.

didn’t work when i changed the combo the first time (it wouldn’t lock back in) but i changed it a second time and it works like a charm

Probably works fine for luggage, but doesn't work with a locker. The flexible lock allows the door to be opened even when locked.

These locks are perfect for securing your ammo cans. If you're like me and wanted a simple way to lock your ammo cans without altering their functionality or drilling into the unit, these are a cheap, simple way to prevent your cans from being opened. While a thief could certainly snip these with a strong pair of pliers or bolt cutters, they provide adequate protection against bare hands. Only time will tell how reliable these are and whether the locking mechanism will fail. Worth their price.
