Great service from Dan's Fans
Upon installation the remote receiver would not work, checked and double checked the wireing. Checked and double checked the "dip switches" for setting the frequency.Customer service at Dan's immediatly sent me a new receiver. Now fan works perfect. Very happy with the Mustang Fan. Dan's Fans gets a perfect 5 stars from us.

Great for my needs
I’m using this in my garage to replace a stand up fan everybody ran into and it works great. It has a rather large heavy motor for only 46 Watts? I can only speculate they needed that to properly stabilize the fan torque. The blades, and the fans total diameter of 18” makes it rather small for what one normally thinks of a ceiling fan. Don’t think of it as a ceiling fan, it’s a normal fan that mounts to the ceiling. The blades have fairly sharp pitch and put out a nice breeze ever bit as good as any household fan, or better, and its out of the way! Because it’s small it doesn’t come with a balance kit, and no household fan does. Mine didn’t need it but if it did you could find an oud kit in the junk drawer and balance it. Changing from 0, 45,and 90 degree tilt takes a ladder, remove a screw, reposition, reinsert screw, no biggie. I think it’s over priced, but it’s not like any big box has one so there’s that.

Hire someone to put this up
I had a problem with my first fan and Dan's Fans replaced it immediately, quick and unquestioned service. I am a fan on Dan's fans...or a a Dans Fan's fan. Now for the fan, I've installed many dozens of fans in my life, none approach the difficulty of this one. Two hours of cursing, sweating and cutting out unnecessary wire (24 inches combined) to get this fan installed. It looks great! It works great! but this is what nightmares are made of! The issue is with the oscillation and the standard fan hanging base. You have to rotate the fan when installing for your desired oscillation coverage, but the base (attached to the ceiling) has a hanging hook that interferes with the rotating fan. The fan has a preinstalled remote receiver that hits the hanging hook in 66% of the install options the other 34% require you to cut out the 24" of superfluous wire...it's bad...really standing on a 10' ladder, sweat pouring off your forehead, cursing for 2 hours bad. Great distributor! Horrible instructions and execution. So either hire someone or find another model from this same distributor. Thanks for the great service Dan! ...if there really is a "Dan".

Just what I needed - Outdoor kitchen
Installed two of these on our patio in our outdoor kitchen area. The flexible head angle along with the oscillating head makes these ideal for our situation. I tilted one down at 45 deg and one horizontal to blow the smoke from the grill out from under the overhead ceiling. They also provide a nice breeze when it gets hot. Well made construction and 5-year outdoor warranty. I would highly recommend if you're looking for something like this.

Definite must buy.
We decided to get rid of our tower fan and have a more permanent solution. Now we don’t have a fan sitting in the floor and this thing will move the air! You can set it to oscillate or not, and has 3 different speeds.

Too much $$$!!
There is no reason why this fan should cost $267 after tax, definitely a price rip on this thing! It's a low quality mass produced Taiwan fan with pressboard blades and the same build quality as a $79 low end fan at Lowe's. You must have to pay an extra $175 for the little oscillating motor and linkage inside canopy. The guy who said it was hard to install must not be very good, it was the easiest fan I've ever put up, there's not much to it at all, takes about 15 mins because fan is already assembled minus blade.Works OK on my front porch up to about 10' away, quiet, but would be much happier if I would have only paid $150. Hopefully it lasts a few years! Not really any better options for a fan like this unfortunately. Make sure you push blades towards center cone when tightening them so the blades are even and weight is balanced.
