New PA5107U-1BRS PA5107U Laptop Battery for Toshiba Satellite L50 S55 P55 L55 S55-A5294 Series

This is an acceptable battery it does its job and generally lasts for an ok amount of time. Down side is it only has four cells but seeing how it's the only battery built for a P55t-A5118 then you just have to deal with it.

Update: Capacity started off bad and has dropped even further in the first few weeks. Returning it for a refund, which looks like it will be a hassle... Product described as 43 Wh capacity, but 19 days after installing it, Windows says its capacity is 32.4 Wh (75% of label), which is less than the 37 Wh that the almost 4-year-old original battery it replaced still had.Anybody have a recommendation for a compatible battery that would be worth having?Original review:Before exchanging the batteries I ran a test, battery fully charged then allowed to cool for a couple hours, then all power settings on high performance with screen at full brightness playing full screen video, power at about 20 watts, run to 5% battery level. Then repeated with new battery after three charge cycles. Old battery lasted 89 minutes; this new one 108 minutes. Not exactly night and day difference.So battery life isn't much better with this than with the four-year old original battery of identical specs (14.4V, 43Wh, 2838mAh). And build quality noticeably lower than OEM battery, with outer shell peeling away in places. (In the photos, the OEM battery is the one that says Toshiba on the front and is covered in white felt on the back.) But at least it works. Toshiba Satellite P50t-A.

It fits and it works.Nothing to do with the battery per se is the fact that it's not unusual to have operation and/or charging issues with your laptop after you replace the battery. It's a laptop feature - look at the web for information on "laptop wont charge" for your laptop model.

10 month's and won't charge anymore

Must not be afraid to open bottom of PC to install. works great.

It was GREAT the first MONTH. By the second, it seemed about OEM level of time. Then, very quickly, at reported 40% left, it would just shut down and hibernate for low batt. I've had it in use for about 10 weeks, I can't return it, and it's trash. Spend more, buy something else. Just don't buy THIS.
