Does the job
This works well for obtaining direct power for my radar detector with a SmartCord rather than using the dashboard accessory plug. When ordering just remember to understand whether you car uses standard or low profile fuses and get the correct device. This device is low profile. It holds a fuse of the original value, say 20 amps for an accessory circuit, and has a slot for a second fuse of the size needed for the added accessory which avoids having to use the in-line fuse holder often included. A 5 amp secondary fuse is included. Note that an electronic device such as a radar detector may use a 2 amp fuse which is not included with this device and you should not use a higher rated fuse. 2 amp fuses are not usually included in standard fuse assortment packages, so you will probably have to buy one separately.

Nice kit, wrong style connector though.
I bought this in order to hard-wire a multi-port USB charger for my phone, passenger phone, and dashcam in a '14 Ford Focus.I made the mistake of buying the mini, and not the small. For my application, the small looks like it was the correct fit. That's not the reason for the lower rating though. As seen in the photos, 3 of the 4 connectors are the correct style for grabbing a blade fuse. The 4th appears to be a normal spade style connector. Not only was it next to impossible to push in the included fuse, but the fuse literally pulled apart when I tried to remove it.The other 2 sizes appear to use 4 of the correct connectors, at least from what I can see from the stock photos. I don't know why the mini was different.Other than that, this seems to be a nice add-a-circuit kit. I really like the pigtail, and the use of the push connector. They even included the other end of the connector and the insulated boot, and 2 fuses.I possibly had a bad unit with an overly tight connector. In the end, since I had everything torn apart, I hit up the local auto-parts store and grabbed a different style. I'll keep this in the parts drawer for another application someday.

Very handy for adding something to your fuse block
Very easy to use. I did cut the end where the connector is off. For some reason it wasn't making good contact with the wire that I attached it to. I have these type of connectors on hand so it wasn't a big deal to solder a new one on. Other than that, it is a great inexpensive product.

fuses were ultra cheap and broke while installing
Luckily came with 2 fuses because they were very brittle. It served the purpose.
