Japanese Netsuke

This is a great book for anyone interested in netsuke. It is well written and easy to read. It would be ideal for anyone thinking of collecting these fascinating objects.

I have been chasing this lovely book for some years. The Netsuke collection at the V&A is superb and they have a copy of this book on display behind glass but it has been out of print for a while. Some lovely images from different angles and sometimes much closer than you can see them in real life because of the display restrictions (distance behind the glass and you can't see it from all angles. Would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Japanese culture, especially Netsuke.

I bought this book after reading the amazing 'Hare with Amber Eyes' just to enjoy the excellent photographs and read more about these fascinating objects. I enjoyed the book immensely and recommend it.

this book was bought as a present and didn't disappoint as being informative and was delivered very quickly the price also was a bonus as had seen it much dearer elsewhere

This is a first class book on the subject the plates could not be better and the history on Netsuke is the best I have come across
