The Sun Underground & All The Colors In Between

I found the artist a few months ago and was instantly captivated by his words. He has a way with words that have so much depth but manages to snip it into digestible, relatable insights. This book has become a companion of sorts, I often find myself going to this book when I'm feeling lost for words for myself, and in it's own unique way it gets me to know myself better. Even though it's from the author's personal experiences, I feel his words move through me like emotion itself. He has quickly become my favorite poet, I honestly cant say enough about this little masterpiece.

Ferreiras characterizes familiar emotions with a familiar lexicon, yet the outcome is a work of art that is all his own. Upon reading, I felt like my best friend was describing my own experiences. His words have a comforting way of invoking a place within that is typically off-limits. In a strangely satisfying way, he invites the reader to be vulnerable as if to expose any heartache so his words can soothe it. This book was written by him but you will read it as if the words are your own.

I'm not generally into poetry but I started this book and found it hard to put down. The author covers a lot of ground in this and I think there will be something in it for everyone, while some themes are deeply dark and personal, others relate more to the shared human experience and deal with things like identity, self-acceptance, and love. The author's way of playing with words makes it so that you can revisit a piece many times and take something new out of it.

All my journal entries, darkest thoughts, and inspirational wonderings were reflected in each of the pages of this book. The author's poetic words felt like imagery being displayed as I related to the deepest human desire, connection. I highly recommend this book to everyone, and look forward to all his future work!

I’ve been waiting for this book to come out! Chris is an amazing writer who pours his emotions out onto every page, and his heart into every word. I’m able to connect with The Sun Underground and All the Colors in between because of that. This is not just another book, this is an experience!

This book is beautiful. Deep, thought- provoking and very inspiring. It seems to combine everyday experienceswith timeless wisdom. It helped me entagle my emotions and shed light on them from different perspectives. Some passages I didn't understand, but that leaves room to discover more next time I read it.
