Nice quality, color match to the floor more than the chair leg for a more subtle look.
This is the second set of these I have ordered. The first set I got, I matched the sock color to the wooden chair legs, and it looked a bit strange, so for the second set I ordered a color closer to the wood floor color and it's barely noticeable. Even though there are other, less expensive chair socks out there, these are really nice and thick, and feel high quality. At first it can be difficult to get them on the chair legs, but they do stretch out a tiny bit. I think that it sometimes does pay to spend a little more and get something higher quality. Overall, very pleased with these.

Fantastic little floor protectors
LOVE these!!! We have hard wood floors and Saint Bernards. Every time I put the felt pads on the chair legs, it would be 2 days before the dog hair was attracted and stuck to the sides oft the chair. And the felt pads lasted maybe 2 weeks before they were coming off and the chair would be uneven. I found these and thought, what the heck, I will give it a try. These are amazing!! They stretch to fit several different style legs on our furniture. They have been on our kitchen table chairs since Decemenber, 2015 and have not come off nor do they attract the dog hair. They stay put and don't allow the chair to scratch the floor. I will buy these again and again. I have recommended them to several friends that have hardwood floors.

Not perfect, but so much better than anything else!
I have been on a 10 year quest to find something that will protect my hardwood floors without having to be replaced every three weeks, and these chair socks are the closest I've gotten to the solution! I have wood floors, wood kitchen chairs, and 4 kids who truly do not understand the concept of picking a chair up (or even picking up your weight off of it) when you want to scoot it in or out. I started off with the stick-on felt pads, but those only stay on for a few weeks at most. I then went through a series of nail-in felt pads. Those work great - they stay in and the felt is nice and cushy - but only for a few months. After that, the felt gets worn down and the plastic the felt is attached to starts rubbing against the floor. They are replaceable, but once you've done that 5 or 6 times (again, 10 year quest), the hole where you nail the pad into the chair starts to get bigger, so they don't stay on as well and tend to fall out on the rare occasion that someone does actually lift up a chair off the ground.About 6 months ago, I tried the chair socks. They are soft and protect my floor, and so far all the constant sliding around has not made them worn. I assume that will happen eventually but already they are lasting longer than the nail-in felt pads. Why are they not perfect? Because after about a month they seem to lose some of their elasticity and don't stay on. It's kind of like socks on a baby, they are just always coming off. But unlike the felt pads, with these if they come off you can just put them right back on. I first put new nail-in felt pads on all the chair legs and put the chair socks over those - that way when a sock falls off, the felt pad is there to protect the floor until I can put it back on. Chasing chair socks all over the kitchen floor is annoying, but not as annoying as scratches on my hardwood.Another bonus that a visiting friend and parent of a baby noticed: unlike the felt pads, they chair socks are not choking hazards when they fall of the chairs!UPDATE: Having had these for about 18 months, I would say they have about a 12 month useful life. After that, the elastic is stretched out enough that they come off almost every day. Still functional when on the chairs, but too high maintenance to be worthwhile. For me though, these are the best solution i've found so I plan to just by a new set once a year.

They work !!
After going from carpet to ceramic tile floor, I needed something for the dining room chairs. We tried several different types from our local Chain Hardware stores but nothing stayed on for more than a few days. I went on a search and found these on Amazon ( I ordered small). They are great and work well. Been on for about 10 months with no problems at all. And we use the chairs every day. I'd highly recommend this product.

So far very good
I have had these on 2 of my living room club chairs, which I move around a lot. They are holding up well and move smoothly on the engineered wood surface. I'm happy with the purchase. It is noticeable that the chair legs have a socks on them. If you don't want that, purchase the little felt-sided slider caps in which one side sticks to the chair leg and the other side slides on the floor. They look better and are fine for chairs that stay in place. If you move the chair often, these socks work better. I have the felt-slider caps on the legs of my other chairs and also use them on larger furniture pieces that stay in one place all the time. The slider caps didn't hold up on the club chairs that were moved often. The socks work well for often-moved chairs.

Works Perfectly! They stay on
They are a little pricey but when you get them you understand why. I got the small for my barstool chairs and my dining room chairs. Perfect color so they don't stand out so it blends in. also they fit nice and snug so they won't slip off. they have a little rubbery grip on the inside top so they will stay on. you have to pull them apart as you are putting them on so they fit on nice and tight. Now I don't have to hear the stools scrape on my floor and they actually had a little wobble before and now that's gone.

Perfect little covers
Couldn’t be happier. They stay on and are tight around the leg. I have no worries what so ever of the chair leg scratching the floor when I slide them on the hard woods. The only negative is dog hair loves to stick to them (we have a German shepherd which sheds non stop) so we have to pull the hair out (but that isn’t the covers fault). You can wash these but I wouldn’t dry them. I think they are bit expensive but I’m 100% pleased with them and definitely recommend them if your concerned of scratching

A perfect solution for me!
I love these socks...I just wish they weren’t so expensive. I first ordered the for my chairs when we renovated our kitchen and put in hardwood floors. That was 5 years ago, and most of them are still going strong. I’ve had to replace around 3 individual socks as a small hole was beginning to wear through and I didn’t want to chance scratching the floors. I just received 2 new packages a few days ago and used 3 of the socks in one of the packages as replacements. I love them because they are so easy to wash, which I do about two or three times a year. I just throw them in a dollar store bought mesh bag and put them in the wash, then put them in a cool/ warm dryer. I find they stay on my chairs really well, only needing the occasional adjustment. In years past, I’ve used those felt stick on pads and never liked them much because they either slid off or wore off, and before I’d realized it, I was sliding the chairs across the floor with one chair leg unprotected.I bought the size XS, in brown, for my 1” chair legs. I have size S, in black, for my 1 3/4” island stools.

Finally something for odd shaped chair legs
Our kitchen chair legs are narrow rectangles with the back legs on an angle; it was impossible to find anything that fit or stuck on long enough. These socks do the trick - chairs now slide easily and quietly across the floor. We bought the grey set and they look exactly as they do in the photo. Only thing I'd say is that because the seam is at the tip, it's a bit bulky where are the material gathers and sometimes becomes unbalanced. Just requires adjustments every few weeks. Would buy again.

look out for the size
too bad.. i really wanted to like this. and i waited 3+ weeks to get them. received the items. BUT, they are not for square legged chairs. they are design for rouder shaped legs.... pictures seem they are also fitted nicely to the square fitted chair legs. but they are not.... i will use them, since i waited 3 weeks to finally get them, but shapes are little off...

Just what I was looking for!
These worked like magic for my dining chairs. I had been using felts for the chair legs but they kept coming off. The "sox" stay on. I have had them on chairs that are regularly used for over 6 weeks never had to reapply and they don't slide down. I measured and ordered correct size from suppliers chart. Highly recommend this product.

Great Hardwood Floor protectors
These little furniture socks are quite unobtrusive and help prevent scratches on the hardwood floor when moving furniture around. They also work well on porcelain tile floors to help furniture slide. I had considered making my own, then found this product...great value.
